    Holy smokes!! $16 million? Makes you thankful we have Hader at the price that we do…for now.

    The offense concerns me without a big addition but this division is so putrid, it might not matter. As long as our pitching holds up, we could have the worst offense in the National League and still win the division by 10 games.

    Still little to no chatter surrounding Bryant or Castellanos. Maybe we get lucky and get one of these guys on a short term deal.

    Call me a homer but I find it hard to believe there aren’t some teams out there who aren’t intrigued with some of our prospects…guys like Mitchell, Ashby, Turang, and Small are all close to the majors. We certainly don’t have the best system but it’s not completely devoid of any talent either.

    Yeah I would imagine you’re starting with either Frelick or Mitchell plus Small plus a couple more in our top 10. It would sting for sure.

    Not a whole lot of chatter around Castellanos. Maybe we could get him on a one year deal like we did with Grandal. He would look really good as our DH.

    Would absolutely love to know who we offered up at the deadline for Reynolds. I know it would take a haul to get him, but man would he look good in our lineup. I don’t even want to guess what the cost would be because I’m sure I’d be way off.

    This is just a flat out meh signing. Stearns sure does love his outfielders, doesn't he?

    Three teams in complete rebuild mode. Imagine the wins we should be able to stack up against the Cubs, Pirates and Reds this year.

    The Rockies are an absolute mess right now. What is Bryant thinking?

    Reds in full rebuild mode now. The NL Central will pretty much be Brewers vs Cardinals at this point.

    I would have done that trade in a heartbeat. Olson would have looked really nice in our lineup. Oh well.

    I wonder if Mark A would pull the trigger if he could get Kris Bryant for 4 or 5 years for around $20 million per year? I agree that he is the best fit out of all of the available big name free agents. Cain’s contract is coming to an end after this season so Bryant’s deal would essentially replace Cain’s.
