  1. If he was whiffing wildly I'd say it was Richmond Algernon St. John Sexson!
  2. B. We are leading the Wild Card race, people. I don't believe any manager in the NL to this point warrants an A.
  3. Actually it's J (HR) J (HR), if you please!
  4. And with the Cards loss, the Crew moves into first place in the Wild Card race!
  5. According to John Kruk. I, for one, don't agree that the Crew isn't as good as the Cubs. I didn't think so when we were 8 1/2 back and I don't think so now.
  6. As undoubtedly tragic as this is for the Bozo relatives, it reminds me for some reason, of this joke. Q. How do you kill a circus? A. Go for the juggler! ba-ding!
  7. As long as Rockstar by Nickelback exists, this tune can rest easy worrying about being voted worst of all time.
  8. You may have to narrow that down a little more!
  9. I have to agree, next weekend when the Cubs and Cards play I will actually be hoping Chicago wins. It is paniful to say but I to think wild card is our best chance. Lets get ahead of the Cards for that and then worry about the Cubs. Just my opinion. Or, hope the Cards take 2 and the Crew sweeps the Buccos. That way we gain 2 on the Cubs and 1 on the Cards. That'd do me. I'm not greedy!
  10. It's a guarantee that as soon as a post starts to praise someone, they do badly it seems. Someone should start a "Cubs are a lock for the postseason" thread, stat.
  11. There's a volume switch when she's on TV? Who knew?
  12. Wait 5 minutes during the game. It'll be back on!
  13. I know this isn't a popular opinion, but with that rotation KC is not that far from contending. One decent bopper trade for some of the farm system and I could see them doing a Rockies.
  14. Corey is the man that Branyan goes to for awesomeness tips! I say he signs and I do the happy dance of knowing I'll see Braun and Hart together in Brewers unis for years to come.
  15. I don't doubt for a second that there was blame from both parties (there usually is). However, one of the parties pays the other's wages, and was thrown to the ground in what I believe legal people call "an assault", while the other refused to take the confrontation somewhere more private and is laughably saying he was disrespected. Hmmmmm....I wonder how this will turn out. Some of us here would crawl over broken glass - on fire - to sit in a major league dugout and collect league minimum, and then there's jokers like Chacon treating the gig like it's flipping burgers in MacDonalds and the boss is being an arse. Sheeesh!
  16. Purleeeease. Nobody is irreplaceable. I'm not saying they come around like buses every 5 minutes, but, c'mon, enough with the "sky is falling" hyperbole. And this is at least the 2nd post that "Derek Lowe's fantasy Brewers contract that doesn't actually exist yet" has been brought up. Calling Gagne a stiff because his $10m contract hasn't exactly panned out reminds me of a number of posts round about the first time Sheets went on the DL after signing his last big payday. The fact that he's (knock on wood) stayed healthy at the end of his contract is unfortunate, but that's baseball. I believe, that the only offer that would have made Benny NOT want to test the open market would have been one that would have been lambasted for being too much for a guy that's shown to be, shall we say, fragile at best. I love him to bits, and want more than anything for him to stay but can anyone honestly say they didn't see this coming? In ST we knew that a poor or injury-ridden season would have the Crew not offer a contract, while a great season would price us out of re-signing him. I don't see what's changed. All I know is that I'll be cheering as loudly as anyone the first time we play against him next year when they present his World Series ring at Miller Park! And, no, I'm not drunk!
  17. Best Album of 2008 so far.... Elbow - Seldom Seen Kid ....and it's not even close!
  18. Blaine? That's not a name, it's a domestic appliance!
  19. Nice DP Prince. Now, c'mon Brewers, let's get at least one more run so that Shousie can come back out and we can give Torres another night off.
  20. Does Brent Lillibridge's mom know he's up this late?
  21. Bill Hicks, Richard Pryor and George. The 3 funniest, most relevant, most thought-provoking comics this country ever produced. RIP guys.
  22. The only part of my job that sucks is lugging heavy DJ equipment up flights of stairs or in and out of service elevators at every gig. Other than that, I get paid to be an important part of one of the biggest days of a couples' life. I used to work in corporate America and made a shedload more money than I do now, and yet, I wouldn't change what I do for the world!
  23. When did we lose the ability to laugh at ourselves? It's one of this state's most endearing qualities IMO. Sounds like ESPN got themselves an ex-Onion writer!
  24. Honorable mentions of non flaming-moronicness go to Tim Kurkjian, Orel Hershiser and John Kruk. Okay, I'm joking about Kruk - he's a spangle!
