  1. I have to imagine his WHIP has been falling as the season has progessed as well. His last couple of save opportunities have been pretty clean. Axford is the least of our problems in the bullpen. If the Brewers didn't already have so many all star locks (Fielder, Braun, Weeks); Axford might get consideration. But often times the crappy teams only viable option for their all start selection is a reliever so I have no doubt Axford will be left out.
  2. Well Pujols will win the fan vote anyways; won't it be up to the manager to decide who starts? Based on stats I have to believe Fielder would start in that case.
  3. Yuni's last non-intentional walk was on May 22nd. Almost a month between walks is amazing Also; despite an awful start by Alcides; his OPS is now 30+ points higher than Yuni. In conclusion Yuni is bad
  4. RR is awesome!!!! We have sucked for a week and are still in first place. Overall I will give him a B. A for clubhouse chemistry / leadership B- for his lineup management C for his bullpen management
  5. Rivas & McClendon Up, midget boy down and Marcum to the DL. That is my prediction
  6. I know Alcides still probably won't ever be a good offensive SS but he has had a pretty strong June so far with a ton of multi hit games. Still no power to speak of though
  7. Jeesh this guy is really bad. Couldn't they have waited to send Braddock down until after they face the Red Sox?
  8. Now is not the year to rebuild though. I don't know that trading your best player for the #2 pick in a year where the #2 just isn't all that good makes a whole lot of sense. Derrick Williams and Kanter both have major bust potential; Bogut at least has proven to be a serviceable if not borderline all star player in the last couple years. Now if for some reason Irving doesn't go #1 than it might make more sense. Then maybe you can ship Jennings for a guy that can actually shoot and finish around the rim.
  9. Well the entire team played like a steaming pile of dog poo today.
  10. Yep; this is a just a typical crazy Cubs/Brewers game. Dissappointed in Grienke; he was showing quite a bit of improvement in his previous couple of starts
  11. Well Zack wants to give these runs back pretty quick
  12. Would it kill RR to give Wilson a start every once in a while? His only two right handed bats off the bench, Gomez and Wilson, haven't gotten a start in an eternity. He starts Kotsay because he supposedly needs some AB's to stay comfortable at the plate; why doesn't this apply to Gomez and Wilson to? Gomez I understand not starting against anyone but a lefty; but Wilson should be getting periodic starts. Gomez is going to get thrown to the wolves against Lester on Saturday while having about 5 AB's in the last 2 weeks and RR will probably start Wilson against Wakefield on Sunday for the simple fact that it seems Yuni against Wakefield would be hilariously awful.
  13. What do you know; a bunch of hard hit balls again and another run. Whats the cutoff in ERA before Loe gets moved from the 8 spot. 5.5 ERA? Maybe 6?
  14. So what creative way are we going lose this game in the 8th? Please get a couple of these runs back and PH for Narvy
  15. Holy Bizzaro world. Hardest hit by Casey in a month
  16. Thornburg is putting up video game numbers. Another very strong outing. Just move him up already
  17. If we hadn't blown it the last 2 nights we could be 3 games up after today
  18. Is it bad that I want Yuni B to somehow hurt himself sliding on the tarp (Not life threatening or anything) so he can go on the DL for the rest of the year?
  19. I am comfortable with Axford, Braddock, and Hawkins for sure. Loe, Dillard, Mitre, and Estrada can be good if they are use correctly. I would feel even better once Saito comes back; he could replace Estrada. I would mind McClendan again either but it would be a tough call to remove one of the other guys. I am guessing it would be Dillard though. The problem is RR thinks Braddock is a LOOGY and he isn't and Loe is a ROOGY and RR thinks he isn't. Unless you have just a dominant set up man; you have to play match ups in the 7th & 8th inning. I am OK with Axford strictly in the 9th inning but RR has to get away from his stubborness in the other bullpen roles.
  20. Yeah I really don't know what to say anymore. I liked RR up until the last 2 days; but his decision making in these two losses really has me questioning if he really knows what he is doing. You can argue about a particular lineup but if the hitters hit no one will really complain; but when you aren't using your best players at the end of games it is really just mind boggling. I wonder if Svuem or Narron would have the balls to seriously talk to RR and ask him what he was thinking. Those guys have been around baseball a long time and almost have to had disagreed with a couple of his decisions.
  21. Hitting with RISP was also pathetic again. Is the road curse coming back again? I think RR left his good pillow at home. The Brewers media has got to start making RR answer some tough questions about his in game strategy. At this point he seems like a players manager who is just awful at late game managing.
  22. This is why I hate playing the Cubs; this crap always happens. I know hindsight is 20/20 but if Hawkins was healthy why the heck didn't he pitch in the 8th?
