  1. I am pretty sure I will not sleep at all tonight. This was the game we were suppose to lose and everyone played one hell of a game. We are gonna do it!!!!!!!!
  2. Thatta boy red head!!!!! The playoffs are so close!!!!!
  3. Those were two awesome throws. Holy Cow!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. Suppan is giving us a nice game so far.
  5. Suppan cant keep pitching like this. It is only a matter of time before he gives up a bunch
  6. I have never been so nervous for a sporting event in my entire life
  7. Volstad having issues with his command
  8. Sheets scheduled to start By Anthony Witrado Friday, Sep 26 2008, 04:37 PM Dale Sveum announced a few minutes ago that Ben Sheets is healthy enough to start tomorrow against the Cubs even though Dave Bush was penciled in today as the starter. This is a turn from what we were told yesterday when Sveum said it would take a some sort of minor miracle for him to take the ball. Later in the day, Sheets himself said he had no idea if he'd be able to start. Turns out that was just blowing smoke because after his three-minute bullpen session yesterday, Sheets told Sveum he was good enough to go. "He's pitching tomorrow," Sveum said. "As of right now he's our starting pitcher for tomorrow's ball game. We'll see how things go. He said he's feeling as good as he has in a month, so we'll see what happens." Sheets hasn't pitched since leaving his last start in Chicago after two innings with what was called forearm tightness. He revealed later that same night that it was an elbow problem that has bothered him since late August. And until Sveum's pre-game media session, it was likely that Sheets had started his last regular-season game with for the Brewers. Things have obviously changed. "The ability for him to look you straight in the face and say he feels fine, that's good enough for me," Sveum said. "He's one of the best pitchers in baseball when he's healthy, so he's starting tomorrow." Bush will be on standby until game time, though. And he could come out of the bullpen for long relief.
  9. Its not raining in NY and now they show only a 30% chance of rain.
  10. If you have three accounts all under the same name only $100,000 would be covered.
  11. I heard Ichiro hates puppies......and Starbucks
  12. Gagne has dropped his ERA by well over a run in the last 3 weeks and really hasn't even gotten in any trouble to speak of. Hall crushed a ball to the opposite field yesterday. Mets/Marlins matchups: Volstad vs Pelfrey -advantage Marlins, Pelfrey has been rocked by the Marlins this year Nolasco vs. Niese or TBD - Big advantage Marlins no matter who the Mets pitch Olsen vs Santana - Advantage Mets but Olsen can be dominate at times
  13. My goal for Suppan tonight is 5 innings and 4 runs or less. I will take that in a heartbeat. I am actually kind of happy Bush is going tommorrow rather than Sheets. Bush pitched well his last time out against the Cubs and we just can't count on Sheets at all. We ran threw our bullpen yesterday, we'll probably run through it again today, we can't have another Sheets 3 inning game tommorrow.
  14. While I hope we win regardless I wouldn't mind seeing this lineup http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Henry Blanco - C Casey McGehee - 3rd Daryle Ward - 1st Theriot - SS Fontenot - 2nd Felix Pie - CF Reed Johnson - RF Hoffpauier - LF Yes I have Henry Blanco leading off. That being said, Suppan would still give up 6 runs
  15. I work at a smaller regional bank and people are absolutely freaking out about their money. We have been fielding a ton of calls. We are literally in no danger at all (Virtually no exposure to Sub Prime) but it doens't stop people from panicking. For the most part investment banks have been failing, not your standard bank. Plus if you really are worried about your bank you can go to FDIC.GOV to check your banks latest financial statements. Just check their capital and liquidity levels.
  16. I am terrified beyond belief for tonights game. A part of me think we don't have a prayer and a part of me thinks Dempster might not really be in the game since it is essentially pointless. DeRosa won't be playing tonight and I hope at least 2 more regulars sit. (Preferably Ramirez and Soto) If we win this game I will be extremely confident in our chance of making the playoffs. The Mets and Phils will not play tonight in all likelihood so a Brewers win would put some additional pressure on them. Can you imagine the Mets getting rained out today and tommorrow and the Brewers win today and tommorrow thereby forcing the Mets to essentially sweep a double header Sunday? With their bullpen I would like our chances.
  17. There was a pretty ood excuse. If Brewers were in the Cubs situation there is no way in heck we would have played any regulars due to the rain. I am suprised that Cubs team even got as close as they did. If it wasn't raining I am sure their would have been more regulars. What does suck is that Marmol and Wood or going to pitch at some point in the Brewers series since they pretty much got the last couple days off.
  18. I would love to see CC in a Brewer uniform next year but I am not optimistic. To me the only option would be a back loaded contract to allow some time to get Suppan, Hall, Cameron, etc off of the books. But you are exposing yourself to major risk with a backloaded contract. Year 1 - $16M Year 2 - $18M Year 3 - $20M Year4 - $22M Year 5 - $22M I would never go to 6 years on a pitcher. So many things could happen and a CC type contract could destroy the Brewers financial capabilities. I wonder if their is a type of insurance the Brewers can take out that would protect them financially if CC were to get hurt?
  19. I would seriously take a 3 pitch inning by Pedro here. I don't think the Mets can score 2 more runs off of Harden.
  20. The radar makes it look like the rain isn't going to hold off much longer, come on get 5 innings in with a Cub lead!!!
  21. I don't think we'll have to worry about the Monday Cubs/Mets scenario because it certainly seems that they will get atleast 5 innings in tonight/ I suppose if the Mets are losing in the 4th inning the Mets might get pretty insistent that the game get called for the safety of the players. But as for the Brewers game, I am feeling confident in a blow out tonight. Let Gallardo pitch in a playoff atmosphere without the pressure of a tight game. Would Gallardo be available at all in the bullpen Saturday or Sunday if need be?
  22. So has anyone actually been able to order the tickets?
  23. I would die of happiness if we had Gallardo and Lincecum as our #1-2. But there is just no way Giants trade him at this point not matter what the offer is. You just don't trade a young pitching phenom like Lincecum. Kershaw might be a more realistic possibility but it would still take a ton. I am very excited for the offseason just since so much money is coming off the books. Will the sign, trade, or extend?
