  1. The thread about the Kenosha restuarant got me thinking what are your favorite restuarants and which ones would you just assume forget? Favorites: Fusion's in FDL Nakashima's in Appleton Backyard Bar & Grill - Fond du Lac Del Bar - Wisconsin Dells Chef Renee's Backbay Cove - Minocqua Island Cafe - Minocqua Awful: Ottos Supper Club - Wisconsin Dells Ruby Tuesday's - Milwaukee Cheescake Factory - Milwaukee (Not horrible just way over priced) Norwood Pines - Minocqua Applebees - Everywhere
  2. I heard that the players union filed the grievance not Boras. Also apparently Alvaraez stepped in at the last minute because he wanted to get the deal done. I don't know how much truth their is to that though. Would a player really just step over their agent in the middle of a contract negotiation? I wouldn't think so. I personally don't think this will go anywhere and Alvarez will report as soon as the contract is cleared
  3. I lost my Brewer hat, if anyone finds it is has the ball and glove logo on it. Thanks
  4. This isn't season ticket realted but I assume the Brewers will set up a random drawing like they did last year for those of us who don't have season tickets? I thought last year that you could register to win a chance to buy tickets through Brewers.com
  5. I am really really hoping they have this thing going by 11 AM on Saturday. I might never get up from my chair the entire day.
  6. At this point I just want to the Cubs to really tax the Pirates bullpen before we come in. That is probably the best we can hope for. Although they do have Marquis going so the Pirates might at least have a shot.
  7. I just hope the Pirates continue to have horrid pitching this weekend. I would vent the usual "Will the Cubs ever lose again" rant but I can't bring myself to it knowing we have a 4.5 game lead in the wild card. I guess I really don't care what the Cubs do. And what the heck is with the off days. This is ridiculous. Maybe the team needs an offday here or there but I certainly don't and that is all that matters http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  8. I am not sure if that post was suppose to be in blue or not. Winning a game 12-0 turned out to be an ideal situation for taking out Ben earlier than usual.
  9. Even if he is playing in a poor league this was a monumentally stupid decision by the league administrators, especially now that this has made it to the national stage. They come out of this looking like baffoons. If none of the kids in the league can hit 40 MPH maybe they should actually get some coaches to teach these kids how to hit. The article says the kid isn't wild, so a little coaching might help the kids out. And how about the opposing coach who just told his team to leave rather than play a game they love. Most kids that age don't even care if they win they just want to play. This is just incredibly dumb if you ask me. Punishing a kid because he is either to good or because everyone else sucks. Real cool.
  10. I guess I interpreted the question as Dream Team in their Prime Vs. Redeem Team in their prime. If it is specifically 1992 versus 2008 it is a little closer.
  11. I think the redeem team is awesome and all but MJ, Bird, and Barkley on the same team just isn't fair.
  12. Mondays + Off Day + Playoff Race + no meaningful MNF = Crap
  13. I think we are a lock if we get to 17 wins, I don't think of the other teams could go on the run that is needed (less than 10 losses the rest of the way) I would even be somewhat confident in 16 but I would just assume get 17-20 remove all doubt
  14. I will only use self checkout if I don't have any produce. It just takes to long if you have to punch in codes for every vegetable or fruit you have.
  15. Stewie from family guy. The writer who came up with an odd shaped baby who talks and wants to kill his mother is brilliant. I also like Comic Book Guy, Fez, Steve Urkel, Dwight, Earl's Brother from My Name is Earl
  16. I also don't find any fault in Cameron on the Rivas play. I have also watched replays and a perfect throw to the cutoff man still wouldn't have got him. I also don't see anything wrong with the Sanchez triple. That ball was smoked and Cam had to dive to try to keep the vall in front of him, that was really is only chance. He couldn't have cut it off any other way. I have been pleasantly suprised by Cameron this year, about a month ago I wasn't really expecting the Crew to even contemplate picking his option up next year but now I am no so sure. His play, at least IMO buys the Crew a little more time with Gamel. I still don't buy that they will leave him at 3rd, so if Cam is picked up next year Mat can get some more seasoning in the OF before Hart or Braun takes over in CF. (Not sure I like Braun or Hart in CF, but it looks like it is headed that way unless Gamel stays at 3rd)
  17. Not me, winning the wild card will be just as awesome as winning the division. Obviously a division title would be nice, but the last time we made it to the playoffs I was about 3 months short of being concieved, so yeah I don't care. Besides at this point I might rather play the Mets/Phillies than the Dodgers/DBacks
  18. Eh, I am not going to get excited of the prospect of the Cubs losing until we get within 2 games. If we get that close again I will start caring how the Cubs do. Obviously I always want them to lose but I am not going to get pissed if they until we are a little closer
  19. I am not sold on Cameron's option next year. I mean they could decline the option keep Braun & Hart out there, sign a lower priced CF in order to keep some salary for the arby guys and long term contract offers. Then in 2010 you can go with Gamel out there and one of Hart and Braun in CF. That is probably assuming that Hart is signed long term. If he isn't 2010 is probably around the time when he would get traded one would think.
  20. When you consider the fact that Milwaukee is the smallest market in the MLB, this is pretty impressive. I can't imagine that Mark A ever envisiioned getting to that number unless it came after a playoff run the previous year. This year will be hard to duplicate but there were some sub 30,000 games this Spring. We didn't have any sub 20,000 games this year did we? As long as the Crew remains competitive I see no reason that this can't continue, mabnye not 3M every year but atleast 2.7 or 2.8. EDIT: I also will add it is absolutely insane that GB has the smallest market of any professional sports city yet they have had like a bajillion straight sell outs. GB's market area was about 599,000 people, the next lowest was Edmonton with 938,000. That is just crazy.
  21. USA is kicking the crap out of Argentina right now 34-16 midway through the 2nd quarter http://www.nbcolympics.co.../rsc=BKM400202/index.html
  22. I don't know how the IOC or any other body will actually prove that the girl is only 14. Heck the Chinese Athletic Association and the Chinese Government were the ones who most likely forged all the documents. There investigation will go no where because in all likelihood all the documents they will look at aren't even real. The Chinese government will never let anyone find out because they would be a disgrace. Cheating in the biggest athletic competition in their history. Its not like a single athlete made a decision to dope, this would actually be the government forging documents, its like a million times worse. Can you imagine if the US did this?
  23. If in the 34 games we go 20-14 I just don't see anyway that we don't make the playoffs unless someone goes on a Rockies type of run where they win 22 of 23. If we went 20-14, St louis would have to go 22-11 just to tie and Philly would have to go 25-11 to tie. If we could get to 22-12, St Louis would have to go 24-9 and Philly 27-9 If we went .500 the rest of the way ST Louis would have to go 19-14 and Philly would have to 22-12. Personally I like our odds, but stranger things have happened
  24. I went to private school and I am also far from what you would consider "rich". My parents were farmers. We had our fair share of snooty stuck up kids but the large majority of my friends were in the same boat as me.
  25. The softball team got upset by Japan in the gold medal game. That is a crappy way to go out since their will be no softball in 2012.
