  1. Absolutely no one was even thinking about the Bucks taking Paul. They had just gotten Ford who had shown promise and they had a gaping whole at PF and C. So it really came down to Marvin Williams or Bogut. Anyone thats suggests they should have picked Paul at #1 is completely looking in hindsight. Paul is awesome but the Bucks made the right pick.
  2. I think the 9th would have been a good Turnbow situation. Or Gagne for that matter. Was it really necessary to pitch Riske 2 innings when we have a 6 run lead. I would have saved Riske the extra inning there
  3. I think we can go ahead and say the "s" word. Sweet!!!! (You thought I would be dumb enough to say the other s word?)
  4. Only approximately 5 hours until game time. I am freakin out, I don't think the Brewers are good for my job performance. I get nothing done when I have gameday on in the adternoon and I get nothing done in the morning because I have to check all the latest news.
  5. I think They should start Ramon Sessions, Jake Vuskuhl, Michael Ruffin, Royal Ivey, and Awvee Storey just to send a message to all the so called leaders on the team. The draft looks like it is going to be very deep and the Bucks should be getting a solid player wherever they end up picking. But as long as we have Redd and Williams as our starting backcourt we will never be consistent. Sure they can score with the best of them but they have never heard of defense and have never seen a shot they didnt like. I like Bogut and I think Yi's development has been stunted because of the coaching staff. Yi will eventually turn into a good player, but I dont think he will until he has some new coaches.
  6. Not Cool Man, That would have been the longest week ever
  7. A solid start after the rain delay. I dont know if anyone actually thinks Chicago sucks, it is a great city, sure you can hate all Chicago sports and their fans, but their city is nice. How about Z goes crazy after sitting out for so long?
  8. I hope later this afternoon means 1:20. I cant stand the anticipation. I swear if Sheets lays an egg I will be so pissed. But he usually does suck in Spring Training so heres hoping he has a repeat of last years opening day against the Dodgers.
  9. I was watching Mike & Mike this morning and Mike Golic picked the Cubs, and pretty much dismissed everyone else because he said " Who else in the division would you even think to pick?" I agree the Cubs should be favored but to think that it is a one team division is just idiocy.
  10. I dont mind it at all. Tom's article said there really wasnt any trade activity, and the fact that he cleared waivers without a single team claiming him reaffirms that fact. For $3million + teams just werent interested. I like the scenario of releasing Vargas a lot better than Villenueva or Parra in AAA. And I like McClung better in the long man role in the bullpen anyways. Vargas wasnt really all that good anyways. McClung could probably be an emergency starter if push comes to shove as well. Id rather have a fireballer who isnt god awful than a veteran who makes $3 million + who has been mediocre at best his entire career. The Brewers brass obviously like what they see in McClung, Jackson, and Narveson that they felt Vargas was expendable There is obvious downside by I think McClung could be just as serviceable in long relief/spot start duty as Vargas could. Yeah Vargas looked pretty good this spring, but based upon his career those numbers will most certianly not carry over to the regular season
  11. I believe that they can meet in the finals. I was under the impression that once the Final 4 teasm are set, the teams are reseeded. I might be completely wrong in that regard but if I was right the matchups under my scenario would be UNC vs West Virginia and UW vs Texas in the semifinals. Don't take my word for it that they actually reseed, I might be completely wrong EDIT: Nevermind, I am pretty sure that the seeds are locked according to region so UNC would play UW in the semis
  12. Weeks signed a pro contract when he was drafted, Prince didn't. If Rickie hadnt have signed that contract he would make no where near what Prince makes. I would hope Prince realizes that.
  13. My picks: UNC/WSU - North Carolina Louisville/Tennessee - Tennessee Kansas/Villanova - Kansas UW/Davidson - UW Memphis/Mich St - Michigan State Stanford/Texas - Texas UCLA/Western Kentucky - UCLA Xavier/West Virgina - West Virginia Regional Finals North Carolina over Tennessee Wisconsin over Kansas (I just cant pick against my team, ever) Texas over Michigan State West Virginia over UCLA Final Four North Carolina over West Virginia Wisconsin over Texas Final North Carolina over Wisconsin Do I think UW makes it to the final game, probably not, but I just cant bring myself to picking against them. That is unless it is against North Carolina, I just think that no one is going to beat that team.
  14. Come one some people on here have to be into making their own BBQ sauce?
  15. Stiemsma had the game of his life today, very well played game, one of their best performances of the year. Hughes hanst shot that well all year. We have a pretty good shot of Elite 8 no matter who wins. We have held our first two opponents to season low point totals, I really like our chances
  16. Yay I am in last!!!
  17. If they wouldnt have had that awful turnover they would have gotten a much better shot to win it than that. That half court shot was good though, perfect length, just a little left
  18. Getting a bucket would be huge here!!
  19. Come on Belmont!!!!
  20. Belmont is giving Duke one hell of a scare right now. Go Bruins!!!!!
  21. It is pretty remarkable that he only gave up 3 runs despite walking 6 guys. Rich Hill= Rich Man's Doug Davis
  22. In hindsight I think he should have traded for Hanley http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  23. Can we just trade the whole team except for Bogut and Yi for some draft picks and just start from scratch. They just lost to the worst team in the NBA, and that worst team didnt even have their best player. I will agree with the sentiments about Kohl, he needs to get out. I cant remember even the slightest hint that he wanted to though. Its not imppsoble for the Bucks to win but I think they need a GM that doesnt take any +@@! from Kohl and actually has final basketball decision authority. No politician should have ultimate decision making authority because for the most part they dont have a freaking clue about anything except politics (and even that is questionable) EDIT: Didnt realize that was a banned word
  24. "In Part 1, we'll look at players who threw a large enough sample at Triple-A or in the majors last year. In Part 2, we'll look at the Double-A guys." I'm guessing that Manny's injury history, and/or limited time in AAA last season is what's keeping him out of the article. I hope so because if he is Kei freaking Igawa and Sean stinking Gallagher as being "better" than Parra than he needs to layoff the cheech.
  25. Well Suppan is better through 2 innings at least "Knock on wood, really hard wood, probably Oak) EDIT: I guess Oak wasnt strong enough, should have gone with diamond perhaps? Stupid Vlad
