    Man o Man the Pirates basically have no shot of making it to .500 anymore. Pretty incredible pitching performance by the Crew in the last 2 days.

    Based on stats alone he should be MVP; although Posey does hold a slight lead in OPS +. Posey will probably win because he is a catcher and because of Braun's off field stuff this past year.

    Darn I was hoping for a weak lineup today from the Reds with it being an early day game after a night game. 7-0 is going to be the hard part; no doubt in my mind that the Cards can lose 3 games from here on out. Asking for more than 3 is probably pushing it.

    This isn't any difference than if the Brewers left a whole bunch of RISP during the game but still held a 2-1 lead going into the 9th and then lost on a missed trapped ball call. Yeah it should have never come to that point but they still lost because of a horrendous call. I know this isn't a Packers board; but had to vent.

    I am extremely tired for obvious reasons this morning. I keep telling myself not to get worked over sports; after all they are only sports, by holy merciful mother of everything that is holy. I just couldn't fall asleep; way worse than after Game #6 of the NLCS last year. At least the Crew actually got beat.

    He brought in Loe when we were already down 7-1 going against a really good pitcher. I could careless what the matchups were; Loe has the potential to go a couple innings. Again he was put in the 5th inning of a game we were getting blasted in; who cares if he has to face a lefty? As long as he isn't being asked to get lefties out in competitve games I don't really care.

    Well that sucked; Braun hits a rocket right at Harper; than Aram hits one that would have been out of most other ballparks

    Going for win #80. About 5 weeks ago I figured we would be happy to get to 80 for the entire season.

    I imagine he would still use the pitchers though to keep them regular. Even if WAS does resta guy or two each game they are still more than capable of beating STL a couple times. Also by clinch is he refering to the NL East or Home Field Advantage. Home Field Advantage might come down to the last game.

    Darn I thought STL had the off day today and not Thursday. I guess in the end it doesn't matter. Would love to be down only 1.5 games after today then!! Not a favorable pitching matchup in the STL/HOU game today; but they have to play the game. While catching and eliminating the Cards this year wouldn't quite make up for the 2011 NLCS it sure would make me smile. Maybe we go down to ATL and get spanked in the wild card; but the fact that the Brewers are even relevant right now is awesome.

    Very important game today. We can actually come out closer to STL than we did going into the WAS series. 2 games down with 9 to go sounds a lot easier than 3 games down. Zimmerman is going to be tough. Just be within 2 games going into the home stretch; then the schedule significantly shifts to our favor. CIN and WAS will still be battling for homefield advantage when they get the Cards. Hopefully HOU can still a game.

    So what your saying is if this was 2011 this still would have been a great run but reaching the playoffs would still be virtually impossible. Yay for the 2nd wildcard. If the Crew does happen to make the playoffs I don't think Atlanta would be too excited about a one game showdown with us right now. Hopefully it wouldn't be Medlen.

    Cubs are showing a little life today which is nice.

    Um OK? Maybe the really want Maldanado to play some 1st and want that 3rd catcher for these last couple of weeks?

    So the Pirates are treating their best minor league prospects like Navy Seals now? I can't see how anything could possibly go wrong putting a baseball player through Seals training while being thoroughly unprepared for it.

    The Cards and Cubs actually play this afternoon so that should be something to make my afternoon go quicker. Well so long as the Cubbies help us out a little

    I thought both Parks & Rec and Office had really good openers. The Office still seems really predictable though.
