    Don't forget about the newest up-and-coming topic which figures to break out into total madness at any moment now, "Tony Gwynn Jr. will be an awesome lead-off hitter in 2007 because he's fast." Wait, are you saying that's not true? You must be one of those stats losers.

    I recall Doug saying after the season that we'll have some changes to the lineup next season. Is there a season that this *isn't* true? I'm not saying he didn't say whatever you think he did, but that's a whole lot different that "some changes." every club has injuries. It's not like Rickie Weeks was tearing the cover off the ball and playing extraordinary D. It's not like Ben Sheets wins every game he throws (far from it). And last I checked, Tomo Ohka wasn't a superstar. Now, if we've got a Derrek Lee, a Mark Prior/Kerry Wood go down with injuries, that would be a major hit to a team. We're talking about unproven, mediocre players and an overrated ace. Please!!!! I guess I pretty much disagree with every thing you wrote there.

    They've done some thinking and seem to feel like myself and Doug Melvin Are you speaking for him now? And yes, a big reason WAS injuries. I don't know how you rationalize that away.

    though I thought the author of that declaration was no longer a current poster, and litesrn is still on the scene. Yeah, I could be completely wrong. Anyone confirm that? I don't want to give an innocent poster a bad name.

    Padres fans on another board are saying Peavy could be available in the offseason and Hall could be the right price for them. Maybe it's just me, but that seems crazy. Why would they want to get rid of Peavy?

    Would somebody mind explaining what this "Worst site" statement was and what its origins are? I forget the exact context, but I believe it was a poster named litesrn who made the statement, and then Brian or colbyjack made it into a logo with the bf.net color scheme, and it was available on the cafepress store for a day or something.

    I'm curious, Russ. Which synapse happened to click to make you think to append numbers after the 'fbrewersfandemoniumfrm'? I think it's just something you may notice If you happen to look at the URL's when you're in various forums, or cutting/pasting links, etc. Or even if you start typing p092... in your address bar and see the different url's pop up.

    Ditto. Hopefully this is the last year before the reign of Braun, and his shoulder doesn't seem to be the greatest.

    So far I've only found Jose Capellan and Nelson Cruz, both of the Gigantes del Cibao. I love that the Spanish word for outfielders is "gardeners". edit: Ozzie (Ossie) Chavez is on Los Toros del Este.
