  1. I hate posts like this. You might try explaining why.
  2. I also loved the bathrobe subplot, especially it being snatched from Toby, and then patting Kevin on the back (wearing his robe) and feeling it a little too long.
  3. The long relief spot will be up for grabs between Sarfate and probably Jackson. Everything Sarfate's been doing lately points to 7-8th inning man, not long relief.
  4. I was dying when Michael drew the line on her arm. That was outstanding.
  5. So why didn't we just resign Davis for 3/21, a crapload cheaper than 4/45 or whatever Suppan would take. I wonder that too. Doug must really thing Davis is starting to regress.
  6. he's hot right now, coming off of being the NLCS MVP Which is why there's a good chance someone will seriously overpay.
  7. As long as I'm in a panning mode, these aren't to dvd yet, but I found Babel, Children of Men, Little Children, and The Fountain all overrated/disappointing. Bobby was ok, but certainly didn't blow me away. Maybe I'd just heard too many good things about them, I dunno..
  8. Ben Sheets says hi! Perhaps you missed the "hitting" part. Ben is not our best *hitting* pitcher by any stretch of the imagination.
  9. If we hypothetically signed him for that number, I sure hope it wouldn't prevent us from signing the younger kids in a couple years. Though I imagine Doug would be smart enough to flip him at that time, unless Cappy or Sheets was getting the heave ho.
  10. People don't stand around like they are in a skit reciting their lines, but move around through their actions, captured by Altman's zoom lens, with foreground and background action, overlapping dialogue, etc. Yeah, I can definitely appreciate that.
  11. To me it's the best comedy of the year Interesting, I couldn't imagine Little Miss Sunshine or some others not being better. I would actually un-recommend it. Maybe I just don't like Altman as much (although I don't remember disliking Gosford Park), but it felt like there was very little plot, and what little there was didn't impress me very much. Guy Noir being written into the show seemed weak, as was the angel. To me they could have just filmed a real show and it probably would have been better.
  12. Torn rotator cuff to be specific.
  13. I dunno... what kind of balls? I hear the NBA has a bunch of sweet new balls available..
  14. I can understand why Melvin didn't offer him arbitration but that doesn't mean Ohka can't be resigned to a 1 year deal, right? I thought he wouldn't be able to negotiate with his original team til May 1, or is that if you decline an arby offer, I forget. Like the Clemens situation last year.
  15. I would have signed him for 3yrs and 20 mil, I thought he would be a lot more expensive than that. Doug Davis would have been a much better investment.
  16. Seven Clubs Still Showing Interest And we didn't offer arby because... ?
  17. If there is anybody that would believe Milwaukee is heaven for a hitter, it would be Seitzer. Cirillo is copying him. Maybe Milwaukee's third base bag has mystical properties.
  18. But do you want Marquis for 4-5 years? because he's not going to sign for less.
  19. Inman, maybe, but not Yo Actually, until Inman's shoulder jumps out of his arm and destroys itself (you know, considering the odds), you should feel almost the same about him as you do about Yo.
  20. The latest Brewers.com article from McCalvy reports that a Brewer deal is in place contingent on the other team making a move, but Melvin flatly denies that it's with the Phillies yet again I choose to live in my fantasy world and assume that it's LA for Penny if they sign Schmidt.
  21. That's exactly what I want, only Carlos V in AAA, Zach J in AAA, and maybe one guy in the bullpen at least kind of capable of being a 5-6 inning man for a start or two. Yes those specific 3 rookies didn't do so well. But Villanueva did do well and because he did well, a. he is no longer a rookie and b. should be in the rotation. I agree with #2, and disagree with #1. What more does CV need to do? Stashing him in AAA is a waste, except for making us feel good about having pitching depth.
  22. Wow, that is the first baseball card I have seen taken at Glamour Shots. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/roll.gif
  23. I'm beginning to understand why Lozano was taking so long getting back to Doug's messages.
  24. This is already talked about in the Baldelli thread.
