  1. I was almost beginning to like listening to Lou Pinella Not me, he hurts my ears. Tigers are sitting pretty.
  2. Yeah, I think I'd do that too. It's unlikely that Braun will be better than A-Rod, and I'd be ok with letting Wise and CV go.
  3. No way. And it's hard for the Yankees to sell him as the 2nd best player in baseball if they want to get rid of him so bad. He's damaged goods.
  4. bucksman, you're completely missing the point (as sylbriski pointed out). I'm *not* defending the Brewers, I'm just saying "well the Bucks were able to make the playoffs!" is a complete non sequitur.
  5. the only one in the state that made the playoffs last year You have to try hard NOT to make the playoffs in the NBA.
  6. Well, there's Barry Zito/Doug Davis, again. Took the words outta my mouth. He's like a rich man's DD out there. Yuck.
  7. how about davis clark jenkins and hendrickson for Arod and a catching prospect? Cashman would be run out of town for that trade. It's a bunch of mediocre players for one of the best ever.
  8. IMO that's way too much pitching to give up.
  9. No he's NOT. Derek Jeter is a better Shortstop than A-Rod. Thats why they MOVED A-ROD Sorry, but that's completely false. Jeter didn't get moved because he's The Captain and they'd never think of making him move. ARod is far, far superior defensively. It's not even that close.
  10. Yeah, I'm definitely rooting for Oak/Det over Stl/NY. Actually I'd much rather be rooting for Hou/Philly in the NL. It's a shame they couldn't pull it off.
  11. That celebration was really cool, and made me wonder what it would be like if that happened in Milwaukee.
  12. Today's lesson: It doesn't matter if you have the best lineup since the 27 Yankees, if your pitching sucks you have no chance. Yankees suck!
  13. How are the Tigers a small market team?
  14. Yankees = pwned. Ha.
  15. Anybody else checking out the new Enhanced Mode on MLB's gameday?
  16. I'm not watching the game, but if I throw a 4-hitter, I'm pretty happy with myself.
  17. Ah, that makes sense. I was wondering that too.
  18. Looking forward to seeing what CV can do over a full season next year.
  19. There have been what 10+ threads about Manny this year coming to Milwaukee, it's getting somewhat old (and totally unrealistic considering his salary), I really don't care to take the time to look at every thread, but I just looked at every title since March, and none mention Manny, and only a couple mention Boston. If you care to look back and find those 10+ references, knock yourself out. I think it's fair to say there are a lot of things that have been discussed more heavily than Manny Ramirez. I didn't attack the poster who posted I just presented a more likely alternative. I'm not sure how else to take "Stop w/ the Manny Ramirez threads". It's at least poor choice of words.
  20. Maybe we should start the Johan Santana, Albert Pujols and Ryan Howard threads are coming to MIlwaukee threads because its fun to speak hypothetical, LOL Give me a break If someone wanted to talk about what would be equal value for a Johan Santana, etc., I have no problem with it. No one died and made you thread Nazi, nor did anyone force you to read this thread and post in it. Give ME a break.
  21. Straw, not only were you wrong in your assessment in regard to my post a moderator quickly posted it's OK to give a different opinion, than let's say yours. Hmm, apparently I need to work on my communication skills.
  22. Stop w/ the Manny Ramirez threads, he WONT come to Milwaukee, Sometimes it's just as fun to talk hypothetically. You're free to express your opinion that you don't think it's very likely (I think everybody realizes that).
  23. Manny is getting a bit long in the tooth. He's 34, but there's really no indication that he's about to have any kind of dramatic falloff. He's only had an OPS under 1.000 *once* since 1998. The guy is one of the best hitters ever, and even sweeter would be Prince being able to hit in front of him, probably with Papi-like results. That said, I doubt Milwaukee was on his list of acceptable destinations, unless he wanted a city with much less scrutiny or something.
  24. And that's your ballgame.. Henry FREAKING Blanco.
