  1. With how lost he's been it doesn't even really matter what their trajectory is; even if they were in first the argument to demote him would still carry the same weight, there just might not be as much urgency since it wasn't hurting them in the standings.
  2. Rhys currently has the 13th highest OPS in the NL, and would be near the top if you remove his cold start. Not too shabby.
  3. And by "hard", that really is "he has a full NTC and being traded is up to him".
  4. 7IP 4H 1R 1BB 5K 86 pitches, #85 was a 99mph fastball.
  5. I agree with both statements. I'm highly skeptical of projecting St. Louis jumping to 30% odds just because they won 8 in a row. Anything can happen, but it's fair to say that if they continue on as is, they won't make the playoffs.
  6. He had doubles games 1 and 2 of the current streak.
  7. Yeah, if by 3 years we mean the third season from now including this one, sure, but very likely not 3 calendar years. He's may taste AA this year, and could hit AAA next year. And he's 17 right now!!
  8. Yeah, that was crushed. https://www.milb.com/video/jesus-made-s-walk-off-single?t=playerid-815908
  9. Carolina now has the top two OPS in the league, 3 of the top 5, and 5 of the top 11. That seems pretty good.
  10. I will bet you a fair amount of money that won't happen. He would need to get to AAA pretty soon and then light up that league too. More likely he'll be given a shot to take the job next year if he has a good 2025.
  11. Durbin is now at .740. Maybe you could make this argument in general, but I struggle to buy it in terms of the rotation specifically. It's not like we know they're going to pick a pitcher with the lost pick. Could it hurt in the draft? Maybe. But if Priester turns into a serviceable starter for 6 years you do that trade every single time.
  12. https://www.packers.com/news/barryn-sorrell-coming-to-green-bay-was-just-meant-to-be Pretty cool story about Sorrell coming to GB for the draft.
  13. That's an interesting opinion given they're 1.5 games up on the Reds. In April.
  14. There are way too many posts to quote so I'll just use this one as an example. STOP. We'll just start hiding things and you can take a timeout from the site. You can disagree with people and debate issues but the over the top condescension will not be tolerated. edit: Homer beat me. :)
  15. Turang currently #3 in the NL for BA, #5 for offensive WAR. As predicted.
  16. Hopefully all these hits bode well for the rest of the game.
  17. Because that's not how we do discussion here, that's why.
  18. You could say the same thing in a less antagonistic way. Like, "Even if Ortiz isn't doing well this year, let's not forget that Burnes isn't even in Baltimore anymore, so calling this a bust is wrong in my view." Bonus points for using stats to back up your opinion - e.g., collective WAR of DL Hall and Ortiz vs Burnes' 2024 season.
  19. If I'm a pitcher I'm just throwing him sweepers that dive out of the zone and see how many he'll go for. It's really bad right now.
