He may well say that, it doesn't mean it's not a question that should be asked. It's an obviously follow up question to the trade: "Matt, don't you wish you'd just kept Smith instead of having to trade significant capital for Priester?" Reporters ask potentially obvious questions all the time, but no one is in his head and knows for sure what the rationale was. That's why you ask and then report on it. -

Let's not forget that last spring in the wake of Murphy's "quantum leap" prediction, Turang slashed 312/375/441/816 in April before slowly declining in May/June and then having a pretty awful second half. It's a great 10 games, but he needs to prove it for longer.

As a lefty hitter, that's definitely wrong. :) I mean, it's obviously the bottom hand, but as RFC notes, the back hand is the power hand, not the one that's leading the bat through the zone. -
At least it's more defensible than picking the Angels.
