  1. And the Cardinals play the Dodgers, so we have an opportunity to jump past them as well.
  2. Why is Mears in this game? He pitched 6/1. Alexander pitched 5/31. Or yes, Ashby.
  3. This is going back a ways, but similar to someone like Derek Lowe (or Brandon Webb for that matter) where every ball was just beat into the ground.
  4. I will take this piggyback all day long if it's going to turn out like this!
  5. I doubt they counted on someone returning from shoulder surgery to be an ace, even in the best of scenarios. Certainly not if he's throwing 92 now instead of 98.
  6. I hope the Brewers wake up tomorrow in first place, but none of these things are happening.
  7. Someone cited stats in another thread, maybe it was for Patrick and not Civale, but it's a 3rd time through the order thing. With the top turning over again and 2 left-handers coming, it wasn't surprising that Murphy pulled him with the score what it was.
  8. That touched on it, but McCalvy actually did another one: https://www.mlb.com/brewers/news/jose-quintana-nearing-return-to-brewers-rotation-after-rehab-start
  9. I assume you mean they should never have optioned him down at all after calling him up, since how that he was once, the point is moot, they might as well shuttle him as much as they need. I don't think anyone should be shocked that they didn't keep him up all season, which would be the only way not to have burned an option.
  10. Not sure what you mean. Sure, Yophery is not doing great, but also has a .215 BABIP, so that's probably due for some regression upward. Holobetz has been decent.
  11. @edfunderburk can you provide a source link in addition to just pasting in an entire article without citation?
