  1. I know it's only been an inning but Yo looks a lot better already. That quicker windup seems to be working.
  2. Well, I'm ready to keep Estrada and move Narveson out once Greinke comes back.
  3. Bud Norris is not an average pitcher. He actually has pretty good stuff.
  4. Wow, that play was unreal. I'm sure it still wasn't good enough for some naysayers though.
  5. Saito has injured oblique, not hamstring. He is just falling apart. I was a fan when the signing happened but now it is looking like a bust.
  6. There's really no excuse to get picked off there (technically caught stealing). There's two outs so he's going to be running on contact so he doesn't need a big secondary lead.
  7. Well I've never really been a Corey Hart fan, so in a way, I expect it. But he is definitely better than our other options.
  8. I know it's only been basically a day but I hope Corey hasn't reverted to his old ways swinging at every low-and-away slider.
  9. I knew he was in the top few. But what he said was he had to be at the top, if not the leader or something like that. I just don't know how anyone who follows baseball, especially a broadcaster, wouldn't know that Zambrano is easily the leader.
  10. Reds broadcaster just said Yo had to be at the top of active pitchers in career home runs. Has he never heard of Carlos Zambrano?
  11. Yeah, he took 3 really tough pitches for balls and then swings at the worst pitch.
  12. Wow, can't believe Gomez did another bat flip. I usually give him the benefit of the doubt but that wasn't even close.
  13. I can't believe I forgot about The Flock. They might crack my top 5.
  14. I loved the n.W.o. when they first started. Then it started to go downhill until the Wolfpac formed which I liked. But then it basically turned into almost everyone in WCW being either in the original n.W.o. or the Wolfpac. I was also a 4H fan and DX. Bret Hart is probably my all-time favorite wrestler but I wasn't that big of a Hart Foundation fan. I'd probably rank as follows: 1) n.W.o. (original 96-97)2) DX3) Legion of Doom/Road Warriors (if you count them as a stable, I would since they had Paul Ellering)4) Four Horsemen5) n.W.o. Wolfpac (98)/Hart Foundation
  15. Wow, it's amazing how the Brewers can go from looking like little leaguers to contenders back to little leaguers...I hope once Hart, Greinke, et. al come back we can get some consistency (as contenders).
  16. Braun just looks amazingly comfortable at the plate this year. Hopefully he keeps it up.
  17. I would say it's almost guaranteed that they go back to a 12 man staff, 5 man bench once Morgan is healthy. Like others said, the only reason they have 13 pitchers now is because some pitchers were unavailable and Hart was coming back soon. Keeping a 4 man bench with Morgan back would leave Nieves, Counsell, Morgan/Gomez, and Kotsay on the bench. Nieves is the only backup catcher so he is basically useless as a PH (some would argue he's useless everywhere else as well). That leaves essentially 3 on the bench. There's really no reason to keep 13 pitchers, especially when Greinke comes back, because most of our starters can go deeper into games. It would be nice to have another backup IF on the bench but since there's really nobody worthy to call up, I would say Boggs ends up staying and Almonte goes down. I don't know whether that happens sooner (when Hart comes back) or later (when Morgan comes back) but I would almost guarantee that's how it plays out.
  18. Who's fault is it then? I was never a Bill Hall fan, always thought his 35 hr season was a fluke, and hated his contract. I wouldn't boo him but he is one of my least favorite Brewers ever.
  19. Yeah I pretty much disagree with everything you just said other than the most team friendly deal. Same here. If they wait a couple of years before even thinking about an extension like this, you're probably looking at a 5 year 120-125 million or higher extension. Like others said, there's obvious risk but it's worth it IMO.
  20. Game wasn't really blacked out, MLB just showed the other regional game (Blue Jays/Yankees).
