  1. This was answered already, correct?
  2. I don't think I've read anything along those lines. I'll see if I can dig anything up.
  3. Not the season I envisioned, and I was only hoping for 83-79. The chance of even a .500 season was put into a doubt when Ohka and Sheets got hurt.
  4. If Clark adds 7 more points to his BA everyone will start talking about what a great year he's having.
  5. Cappy get's 3 runs before an out is recorded and Sheets got 1 run in 7 innings last night. I wonder if Sheets likes that.
  6. Hall has loved himself some left handed pitchers this year!!
  7. LINK
  8. Time for the yearly Brewerfan.net purge until next year.

  10. It's not that big of a deal if you are actually getting money for it.
  11. I just wanted to make sure I didn't get a wierd virus or something.
  12. If the Brewers score late people want to know why they always fall behind and don't score early. If they score early people complain that they didn't add to the lead and "only" scored 6 runs. It just doesn't make sense.
  13. Not... a very good play by Lee there.
  14. Fans of all teams say the same things: * We always lose to crappy teams * We never score from a leadoff double or with a runner at third with less than 2 out. * We aren't clutch /leave to many men on base * Our pitchers can never get a sac bunt down etc... It's hard to keep perspective as a fan.
  15. If the Brewers win today (Tue) they'll be in 3rd place in the wildcard standings and between 2.5 and 3.5 out. That's pretty wild considering the Brewers are currently 2 games under .500 and have been outscored for the season by 68 runs.
  16. That must be the 1000 time I have read the Sheets / Ohka are coming back line. Sure hope they don't disappoint anyone. That line has been inserted into almost every subject for the last couple of weeks. I suppose you don't see the significance of a team getting back their #1 and #4 starting pitchers within a week of each other? Regardless, it will be like spring traning for both again, so I think most fans aren't expected them to be at 100% right away. Still, the bar isn't exactly set very high for them to do better than their replacements. As for people outside of Wisconsin caring about the Brewers, who gives a crap. Why the hell should I care who a guy in Ohio thinks about the Brewers? I shouldn't. Why should they Brewers care if other teams take them lightly? It could only be an advantage if they do anyway. It's like your own self worth is tied into the successes and failures of a baseball team and you make everyone else at bf.net suffer when they do you wrong. Time to take a step away from your Brewer bobblehead collection and get some perspective.
  17. I looked at other metrics that warned of some problems. His "left on base %" was 88%. That's unsustainable. LINK
  18. He's gone Lidge on us. Turnbow can't go Lidge because he never was Lidge to begin with. He was OK last year but much of his success was simply good fortune. I was hoping he could build on his modest success from last year but it simply hasn't happened yet. I wasn't happy when Melvin signed him to an extension and Turnbow certainly has done nothing to change my opinion. 2006: The year the bullpen cost us the wildcard. Thsi team is no where near a playoff caliber team. I love that bucksman posts not a once when the Brewers are in the lead, then immediately jumps in when they lose. Vintage. He is exhibit "A" as to why ezboard needs an ignore list.
  19. The Dbacks are a below average team in a weak divsion who have played very bad baseball for three weeks heading into the break. Overall, they have been about as good as the Brewers on paper: http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/7391/569/1600/win%20prob714.gif The Brewers should sweep a team like this in their current state While Arizona had a horrible June, they earned a sweep in two of the last three series before the all-star break, so I can't believe that they've completely fallen apart. No matter the circumstances, no team "should" sweep any mlb team, especially when they are the one on the road. 2 out of 3 would be perfectly fine. Can we please get through 1 game and/series without labeling it as some kind of "must win"? If the Brewers don't sweep Arizona, they are not eliminated from playoff contention.
