Geoff Jenkins is OPSing .432 through almost half of June. AND HE'S STILL BATTING THIRD!!! Seriously, does anything else need to be said? Yes, people need to get help for their fascination with batting orders. They aren't NEARLY as important as people apparently think they are.
I'll give a guy with 20 HR and 50 RBI a little more slack than a guy who leads the NL in strikeouts and K's in essentially every RISP opportunity. Despite his struggles, Jenkins is still batting .288 with RISP and has a .855 OPS in that situation. Don't let facts get in your way, however. Keep up the ignorant rants!
Starts out the season horribly and comes through at the end of the year when it's too late and we're too far out of contention to actually make a run at anything noteworthy. I know. You have to go ALL the way back to 2005 to find the last time Jenkins was hot and helping the team hang around playoff contention.
rluz do you agree with latin cappy batting? No, I'm simply pointing out that the Brewers can't even take advantage of having an extra pitcher because they are almost out of position players. They should have one more position to begin with. I'm sick of having 13 pitchers.
You have 13 pitchers.. for the love of god.. what does Ash have to say about this move? Yeh, and not enough position players as a result, hence a reliever batting for himself. Boggles the mind.
Theres a huge difference between playing injured as a position player and a pitcher. Exactly. Every docter would say Lasorda's opinion is really stupid.
Jenkins has no decent chance against a lefty anyway. It's shame he can't be made to avoid them altogether. Clark, please help us. Isringhausen is on the ropes.
The only way the Twins ought to even be able to start discussing the acquisition of Bill Hall is to begin with an offer of Santana and Joe Mauer in exchange. Was that supposed to be blue?
The funny thing about this? By doing this Yost has no left handed bats on the bench now. Apparently Yost MUST have one player that he becomes completely obsessed with. I thought it was going to be Shouse but apparenly it's Gross.
I'm always fascinated by what high draft pick flameouts become after sports. I was curious what GM had been up to since 2003. Not much, apparently. Looks like after Jon-Michael fizzled out with the Crew, he bought a home with his girlfriend back in his home town. That's all I could find.
A little off topic here, but do you have to pay an annual fee on the BP card? I was going to sign up for one, but it had a 30 dollor fee I think. None that I am aware of. I've had it for almost a year now and have earned about $80 worth of free gas. You dohn't have to gave the card to get free tickets, if there is any confusion.
http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a345/rluzinski/wheel.jpg the wheel of pitchers is sent on another spin... big money, big money, no whammy, no whammy, STOP! (zzzmanwitz, 06/02/06)
I also also going with my trusty BP tickets in hand. I would be plenty happy with 3 runs in 5 IP out of Jackson tonight. Let's just hope he doesn't start getting walk happy. He's averaged almost 4 BB/9 in 104.3 IP in AAA and that doesn't translate well to the majors. Hopefully he can help fix this: http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/7391/569/400/repl%20pitcher%20summary.gif After losing eight in a row, Milwaukee looks to win their third straigh againt San Diego to move within three games of .500. They'll be only 2 games under with a win.
