We won't score more than 3 runs today. Scoring 3 runs in 8 innings is unfathonable to you?
  2. rluzinski
I can't believe I'm saying this but less than 1 inning into this game and and it's all but over. I mean, Fernandez is our next line of defense! Well, at least he got the pitcher out. of course, he started 2-0 against him. Arghhh! EDIT: O my. i read that wrong. peavy actually had an RBI single. WOW!
  3. rluzinski
Well, that's one out. A double play here and Hendrickson will actually get to pitch more than 1 inning.

Ben has no control at all right now. He's absolutely dead without control. He can't exactly rare back and throw one right down the middle. As for steals, while Moeller has a horrible arm, Bens really slow curve ball probably isn't helping matters.

Not a good start for little Ben at all. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif

Any team can win any one game. If Peavy loses today, you just know all their fans will complain how it seems like they always lose to crappy starting pitchers and how Peavy simply isn't a "winner" http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

Not 100% original but... http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a345/rluzinski/billreaper.png Hall just doesn't steal players starting spots, he steals their souls!
  8. rluzinski
I'm thinking this is a "must win" game for you guys. You have to go out there and prove that this new team means business. You've got the fighters and gamers but what about the hard workers!?
  9. rluzinski
    THANK YOU!

Well Koskie delivers and Turnbow gets to pitch. I am a happy man. 3 outs is 3 outs. Except when the save situation doesn't materialize and your best reliever never pitches. Sometimes you need to be a bit flexible, IMO.
  11. rluzinski
The home team get's about a 4% win expectency advantage in extra innings. So like, 48/52.
  12. rluzinski
OK, is Kolb the better option than Turnbow in the 9th? There's no justification for letting your best reliver rot on the bench so he can compile meaningless saves. Just mindless,"follow the leader" mentality.
  13. rluzinski
Can't disgree with Latin Cappy in the 8th. If you think T-Bow needs to come in to start the bottom of the 8th in a tie game, I think that speaks more to our bullpen that Turnbow's usage. I just want him used, period.
  14. rluzinski
Are we saving Turnbow for the playoffs?
  15. rluzinski
Tod Walker, last 3 years: .287/.345/.452/.797 I don't think Cirillo has anything like that power left in him. He has nothing left against righties.
  16. rluzinski
Here's to Davis keeping the walks down tonight. Cirillo as a regular first basemen would be the worst in the league. One game isn't going to change that.
  17. rluzinski
With Ohka AND Sheets out, this would be a below .500 team, IMO. I think the title of this thread should be changed to "Cub Fans Suck" http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

JSonline's Sportswatch has "UW women's soccer to visit Germany " as it's last story. According to Brewercrewball, a Madison radio station said Sheets will start tomorrow. Starting to think someone didn't get enough attention from their mother?
  19. rluzinski
Well 2006brewer hasn't posted anything else and so far, no confirmation. I also found this quote from him: Maybe we shouldn't get to worked up yet?
  20. rluzinski
ESPN also had Driver holding out for a new contract a week ago so we can only hope.
  21. rluzinski
It would seem odd that something that's supposedly been bugging Sheets was actually a non-diagnosed torn rotator cuff? How is that even possible?
  22. rluzinski
So great to be a Brewer fan. Our starting pitching went from a strength to below average. our offense is MAYBE a bit above average. Our bullpen sucks. This might not even be a .500 team anymore.
  23. rluzinski
The irony will pain me when Turnbow is brought in on a non save situation on Tuesday because he "needs some work."
  24. rluzinski
Don't bet your house on that. We do have Ben Sheets pitching tomorrow, you know. ?
  25. rluzinski
It's still bugging me that Jenkins swung at the first pitch when he had a chance to drive in the leading run in the 9th. Apparently he guessed he'd see a strike there and he was right. Why would that bug you?
