  1. In the words of a wise philosopher....."All we need is just a little patience...oooo...yeah". Follow the words of Axl Rose, dear Brewers, against the ancient Moyer, and we'll be good for tomorrow.
  2. I'm assuming you're meaning the Brewers, Cubs and Sox. Not all 3 are in the NL. And the Cubs and Sox are going to be done shortly. I'm hoping the Brewers can pull the miracle.
  3. Miller Park needs to be loud, rocking and energetic! Just need to get some hits, score some runs, and Bush needs to keep the team in the game. WIN, WIN, WIN!!!!
  4. What Corey Hart said: I'm not going to sit there and walk, though." What Corey Hart meant: I'm going to flail away at sliders and pitches low and away. Along with that, I'm going to almost always swing at the first pitch. (fixed code --1992)
  5. My message to the Cubs.....better luck next year. The Dodgers have 3 games to win 1. You have 3 games to win 3. Odds definitely for the Dodgers there. On a side note, I'm disappointed in the Brewers, but just joyful they made it into the playoffs. I'd love to see them in the World Series, but the realist in me said that they would more than likely lose this series. However, it brings me absolute, sheer and total joy to see the Cubs go down in flames again and again and again. I have many people that I know who are Cubs fans, and it's quite fun to rub it in to them. GO DODGERS!!!!!!!!!
  6. Agreed wholeheartedly. Case in point yesterday in the 1st inning. Bases loaded, one out. You've already scored 1 run, and on the verge of getting more. Corey Hart is up. Wouldn't it be the best, to look to hit it out to the outfield, if nothing else, to drive in one more run on a sac fly? Best case, you hit it out, and it's a completely different game. Corey swings at the first pitch (after Myers has given up 3 walks in the inning), and grounds into the inning-ending double play. Disappointing to say the least, but that not only comes down to execution, but coaching. A lot of what I see with the team is a lot of flailing, taking gigantic hacks, trying to hit the 800 foot, 7 run homers. Makes no sense to me.
  7. This will be the most pressure-filled start of his life, no doubt. Don't give up the big inning, keep the team in the game, that's all we need.
  8. Peavy is a legit pitcher. I'd trade Fielder, Gwynn and Hart for him, if the Pads want them. Yes please to Peavy
  9. How in the world did I miss that the game was this afternoon? Why did I think the game was tonight? ARGH!!! And I have lots to do this afternoon, so I really can't pay too close of attention. NUTS!
  10. I'm pumped! The only disappointing part is that I won't be home until 8:30, but once I'm home, I'm solely paying attention to the game, cheering and screaming!! GO CREW!!!!!!!!
  11. We're all still trying to figure it out....check out the archived threads....it will make a bit more sense.

  13. No doubt about it. Without him years ago, the Brewers would be a distant memory for Milwaukee, either in another city or contracted. With Miller Park, you know you WILL have baseball, brought in the extra revenue that County Stadium wasn't going to bring in, and led to Bud selling the team. THANK YOU GEORGE!
  14. Hava Nagila. That's a regular.
  15. Wow wow wow wow. I grew up listening to WMTJ throughout my childhood, and leaned on Uke's calls to know what was going on in the games. That call of Braun's jack made me tear up. Awesome for Uke, Awesome for Milwaukee, Awesome for Wisconsin!
  16. Either on my couch or on my bed, depending on which TV I'm watching it on.
  17. Thank you!!! It's not the same as being in the state and watching the game, but wow....how fun! I love how the fans stayed and how the team watched from the dugout and then went tearing into the clubhouse. Awesome!
  18. Seconded! I don't even remember how I stumbled upon this site, but since I did, I've checked in pretty much every day. Numerous times pretty much every day. Thanks Brian and all the mods for making this an amazing site and a great place to talk about the 2008 Wild Card Champions! Hopefully soon to be NL Champions!
  19. This last week (minus yesterday) has been unbelievably amazing! Best part is......WE ARE IN THE PLAYOFFS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  20. I have been a Brewer fan my entire life. I have followed this team through the ups, and the many, many downs. I remember going to my first game at the age of 5, in 1982, and falling in love with a team, and a stadium. I remember listening to the Brewer game on Easter Sunday of 1987, with my whole family listening intently and cheering when our Rob Deer tied the game, and when our current manager hit the game winning homer. The names. Yount, Molitor, Cooper, Gantner, Ogilvie, Vuke, Fingers, no doubt. But Juan Nieves, Chris Bosio, Bill Wegman, Jeff Cirillo, Darryl Hamilton, Greg Vaughn, and many, many more. The heroes of my childhood, the guys I stayed up many, many summer nights listening to Bob Uecker and Pat Hughes call their names. I cried when Braun hit his homer this afternoon. It was a realization that very soon, I would be watching my team, the team I've followed through thick and thin, the team I've loved my entire life, the team I've followed no matter where I've lived, was going to be playing in the postseason. I am so thankful to have the opportunity to be rewarded by this team, to have at least a few more games to watch them. I want them to make it to the world series, but for now, I'll bask in the joy and happiness of the moment and the celebration currently going on!
  21. Even better, if that's the case
  22. Go FISH!!! Especially with the Cubs running the B team out there today
