  1. Awesome! My name made it on there! Thanks Jamie! :-) You rock! GO CREW!!!!!!!
  2. Wasn't that what Ned basically did on Sunday? Look at where that got him.....waiting for the next Nascar race.
  3. Well, that's one less arm to concern ourselves with....Gagne and Mota next?
  4. I have excitement for this game. After the weekend's debacle, I was about to give up on watching Brewer games for the rest of the year and resume if they made the playoffs. Now, I'm on board. I'm watching as soon as I get home tonight. This is about as much of a must win as you can get. You have your ace going against the vaunted foe who has desecrated your house for the past 2 games, and payback is DUE. The bats BEST be showing up tonight (I'm especially looking at you, Mr. first baseman) and lets make this a blowout victory.
  5. Sveum SOLVDD WOAHSYount wears dresses? Yount wears cans? I don't get it
  6. Don't forget the use of Gagne, the non-use of Rivera, and the dreaded "one pitch away" idea for Soup (and others)
  7. Are you sure that's the case? Or is it panic that the Cubs had a no-hitter and are on the brink of going to the playoffs? Worldwide panic!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. If you had that much money invested in the team, and they lost a sizeable lead in the wild card standings, wouldn't you want to make a change? I know I would!
  9. You know he's got to be ticked that Craaaa-Z has a no-hitter at MP, and he doesn't. He may just go and throw one next time out!
  10. Well, if you believe the poster earlier in the thread, it's Yount. Can my day get any better? That would be wonderful! Which leads me to wonder if the one year bench coaching thing for Robin ended because of Ned....but then who coaches 3rd?
  11. So wait....Simba was "reassigned"??? Is Dale bringing in his own guy for the bench? Kremblas? Hmm....
  12. Pinch me, I must be dreaming! YOST IS FIRED? WOW!!! Sveum is the acting manager? Well...OK. Give Dale a try. It couldn't be worse than Ned, could it?
  13. We probably get screwed over. Spending lots of money for not being able to see all of the games.
  14. We have a new Yost? Sounds like the old one. I wouldn't cry if he was fired yesterday.
  15. As I've thought about it a bit more, the comparison is somewhat like the Saints after Hurricane Katrina. Did the NFL try to play the home games for the Saints in Seattle or Green Bay or St. Louis? No, it was San Antonio and Baton Rouge, close to home. Southeast Texas has been hit pretty hard, and there needs to be some concern for having a legitimate "home" (or as close to home as you can get) game. If everyone is on board with Atlanta, then do it. Thankfully Minute Maid is OK, and doesn't need a whole lot of repair. The biggest questions are power and how many people would show up.
  16. That pic of Ned is amazing in its awesomeness. He looks like he just let one go and someone smelled it. Or he smelled something bad. Or he's just making a face.
  17. Possibly, however, at the rate the Brewers have been playing, either the Phillies or the Astros could catch the Brewers.
  18. I've been checking the Houston Chronicle blog on the storm, and Minute Maid didn't have any major damage, and said they're ready to play whenever it's safe to do things downtown. Maybe they will play tomorrow night. Who knows.
  19. The remnants of Ike is supposed to be moving up through the Midwest and then to the east coast during the week as well. This could make things interesting.
  20. There's going to be a bunch of games postponed/delayed this weekend into early next week, as the predictions for the remnants of Ike is to go up through the Midwest and then turn toward the east. Makes for interesting times, doesn't it?
  21. There are a few million people who are without power in Houston. They're still waiting for the sun to come up (which it's doing now) and for the storm to let up (about 4 more hours) to be able to assess the damage. I don't see any way that they're playing any games or doing anything in Houston this weekend.
  22. Based on what I'm seeing on TV, if I'm Bud, I'm postponing this series until things are settled in Houston. It's going to be bad. Plain and simple.
  23. A reporter on Fox News said that he was told by the mayor that if the power goes out in Houston, it may be up to 2 weeks before power is back on. Also, they mentioned a gas station in Tennessee is selling gas for over $7 a gallon, Orlando area gas stations are over $5 per gallon, and wholesale gas prices along the gulf coast are over $5 per gallon. It's gonna get expensive for gas, no doubt about it.
