  1. Someone mentioned in the in-game chat last night having McClung close next year. The more I'm thinking about it, it wouldn't be the worst option. Any thoughts?
  2. Mets left 2 on, but scored 0 runs. Hopefully this continues...
  3. Just heard per WTMJ that Sheeter is going tomorrow night! Awesome!
  4. Good to hear that apparently it's not broken or missing. A request for the next 3 games....can we NOT have to wait until the last at-bat to win the game and avoid not only the heartache and the pain that it causes the fans, but the potential injury it may cause for the team? Thank you Brewers!
  5. Interesting article about athletes and charities Link Eric Gagne may be a saint. But do remember that he is accused of using PEDs to cheat at his job, the one that gave him the money to give away. Giving away tickets is a nice gesture, and shows goodwill to the community. I would guess that most well-known (and not as well-known) athletes and public figures have some sort of charity. All I was saying before was that it was nice that he was donating money back to the community as, in my eyes, he didn't do a whole lot to earn that money. You can argue about earning or not, I was just sharing my opinion.
  6. Awesomely good! Very funny stuff! I didn't expect the proposal, but at least they didn't let it linger, so I guess that's good.
  7. Probably not a whole lot of WaMu folks saying WooHoo anymore. It's sad. Just a reminder that we all need to live within our means.
  8. Yo is awesome. In watching last night, I couldn't help but think what could have been this year had he not been hurt. I had him on my fantasy team this year, because I knew he was going to have a breakout year. It WILL happen next year. He's a legitimate ace, a legitimate workhorse with amazing stuff. His first start back after having ACL surgery (in the same season, by the way) and he gets 7 Ks? Impressive. If (huge if, I know) the Brewers get into the playoffs, Yo is going to be a huge help in propelling them forward. I love Yo!
  9. Ichiro for Hart? Maybe throw in another minor leaguer? Got your leadoff guy there!
  10. Agreed, it was a classy move. I didn't say it wasn't. He just didn't earn his $10 million contract, and the classier thing to do would be to give most of it back, as he didn't earn it. He may be the greatest guy in the world, but for most of the season, last night excluded, he hasn't pitched well.
  11. The Brewers just need to win the rest of their games. That's all that is important at this point. Win the games in front of you and let the rest shake out, especially with the weather.
  12. Is this part of Gagne's giving back $10 million to the community, as he really didn't earn his money this season?
  13. Bill Michaels and Jim Gantner can tell you all about it.
  14. Not a bad idea
  15. Yo IS pitching? Wow!!! I can't wait to watch this game. This weekend will be fun! Nervewracking, but fun!
  16. NBC did have sort of a preview show before the show on Monday night. Kind of a catch you up type of thing. I'll second the comment that it seems like things may get a bit more confusing this season. But, it makes it a bit more realistic and human in the struggle with good vs. evil of what the powers can do. Yes, Nikki/Jessica was in the building that exploded, and it will be interesting to see how all this unfolds. I'm excited.
  17. OK, that's about what the size of my belly is, and I'm right at 6'0, 295. That's a scary pic. He better start eating right and taking care of himself otherwise he's going to end up like his dad, or worse, Mo Vaughn.
  18. Did he cost himself any money by untucking his jersey after rounding first, and, unintentionally, showing how much is baggy jersey, and how much is gut?
  19. Come on Mets! You can lose!
  20. I hate that stupid song, but I want the Cubs to sweep the Mets.
  21. I've now returned off the ledge. I'm still on the cautiously optimistic approach, but there's hope. They've got to take 2 of 3 from the Pirates, and hope that the Cubs take 2 or 3. Then we're talking! My bigger concern is the starting rotation from here on out. Sheets is a huge question mark, Suppan hasn't been the dominant stretch pitcher he was signed to be, Bush has been pretty good, and CC. Then who? McClung? Parra? A combo? That's the scary part.
  22. Cubs won the division. It really sucks. It should have been the Brewers spraying the champagne, not these clowns.
  23. I was hopeful that today was going to be a win, and I was following the game on gamecast while I was doing some work at my desk. When I left my desk to teach 2 piano lessons, it was 5-2 Brewers in the 8th and I was confident that they would win. Imagine my shock when I get home and see it's 6-6 in the 12th. It's over for me. Done. Finished. I may try again when it is Spring, but I've got enough things going on in my life that the time and effort it has taken for me to follow the Brewers, especially now being out of the state. I can't do it.
