  1. Charcoal Grill is horrible. Horse and Plow is awesome. That's Kohler, which is a completely different (and better) world than Sheboygan. Even Plymouth has great places. But the regular places (outside of Blue Harbor) are all dives and have unbelievably awful food that has no flavor. But I guess when everything is eaten while drinking 6-10 beers, taste really doesn't matter.
  2. No, not really. San Antonio is head and shoulders above Sheboygan. No comparison. Rephrasing what I said before, food in Sheboygan, compared to other places I ate in Wisconsin, was awful. No flavor, no taste, no nothing. I never found a local place that I really liked.
  3. Worst pretty much any restaurant in the city limits of Sheboygan. I was not impressed with anything there. Obviously now, being in a major metro area (San Antonio), there's lot of choices, and really good food! Much more flavor than anything I found in Sheboygan.
  4. They seem to be much more prepared this time with New Orleans. Only problem is that no one knows exactly where this is going. It could come all the way over here to Texas, or it could go all the way over to Florida. Pretty much no one is expecting it to hit Florida, but I can tell you, the San Antonio news stations are covering this like crazy, because whether we get rain or not, people will be coming here, whether it's from Louisiana, Houston, or wherever. It seems like even if the hurricane were to hit New Orleans, they seem much better prepared, thank God.
  5. I'm actually able to watch the WMLW feed on my Directv EI package here in San Antonio. Thanks Directv!
  6. So you'd have half of the lineup learning new regular positions. And I'd rather have Esco and Gamel earn their way up. Spend time in AAA and show that they can't do anything else in the minors. I'd say: C- Kendall 1B- Prince 2B- Anyone other than Weeks SS- Hardy 3B- Hall/Branyan LF- Braun CF- Cameron RF- Hart
  7. Inman pitched last night. I was at the game. Gave up 3 runs, and didn't have great defense behind him, and ended up leaving during the 3rd inning after getting hit hard by a comebacker. No update yet. Box Score UPDATE: Missions trainer Wade Yamasaki said the results of pitcher Will Inman's X-rays on his left thumb were negative for a break or fracture. Inman, who suffered the injury after being hit Thursday, is questionable for his next start. Edit: Thanks for the update!
  8. Excellent prediction...now it is on the Crew to make up a game tonight. COME ON BOYS!
  9. You mean you didn't hear the collective gasp of San Antonio Spurs fans earlier today? Yeah, he reinjured his ankle and down here in SA, people are very concerned.
  10. Even though I knew Bolt set the WR and I knew his time, it was amazing to watch. It sure seemed to me that he let up the last little bit. But he was amazing! What I really like about Bolt is that before and after the race, he's having fun, doesn't look nervous, takes care of his business during the race and then goes back to having fun.
  11. Check out this page and look at the comparable players. None of them say superstar, baseball great, or power hitter. Just guys. I think no matter what, Rickie is going to be just OK in Milwaukee. A name that comes to my mind when I think of Rickie is Glenn Braggs. Lots of hype, lots of potential, but not realized.
  12. Yep. Always wondered what the deal was with that. But we are the mighty, mighty Cardinals!
  13. The Hardy play was frustrating, but I understand it. Had the throw gone to the plate, OK, you've got a runner at 3rd, no outs. The Cameron situation was moronic. There is no explanation, no excuse, no reason at all that play should happen. That was a chance for a really big inning, and that was a game changer in my eyes.
  14. Yep. It's big down here. Try going from the eastern tip of Texas (outside of Houston) to El Paso. You can drive all day and still be in Texas. I believe, if what my wife tells me is correct (and I have no reason to doubt her, she grew up in El Paso) that the distance across Texas (east Texas to El Paso) is the same distance from El Paso to San Diego. Pretty crazy stuff. But I love this state.
  15. I really wouldn't be surprised if Houston makes a big run at Sheets. A combo of Oswalt/Sheets is pretty tough. But we'll see what the off season brings.
  16. Wow, so you can do your vault, basically fall on your face, and get a medal, or be Alicia Sacramone, do really well, and get 4th. That sucks.
  17. Quite interesting you mention that. I live in San Antonio, and really the only rain we've received this summer was from Dolly and Eduard. We are roughly 13 inches of rain less than what we typically receive by this point in the year. This week, we're actually support to get a good amount of rain. Probably not enough to make up the drought, but a lot of rain to help. But those retirement communities are more important. And my 3 siblings live in Tampa, and they don't seem too concerned.
  18. Yeah....that does take the cake...adding in the video to the song.....that's atrocious. A very distant second would be the very happy (and scary) MMMMBop. (Song and video)
  19. And some crazy good swimming ability and a bit of luck. That was unbelievable to watch. Can't wait to see the relay tonight and see if he can get his 8th gold. The Olympics have been fun so far, no doubt.
  20. "I'm Too Sexy" "Ice, Ice, Baby" "2 Legit 2 Quit" "Good Vibrations" The Marky Mark one, not the Beach Boys Those are the first few that come to mind.
  21. Time for Handy Manny to get to 10 wins! Thankfully, by the time the game starts, I will have watched Michael Phelps win his 7th gold medal of this Olympics, and will be ready to go for game time. And hopefully we'll get those bats going nice and early.
  22. Quick, someone needs to write a song about bratwurst being sexy! Err..... maybe not.
  23. Don't you know that anyone who doesn't believe in the fact that the polar bears are dying, and we are killing the earth with our SUVs and gus guzzling vehicles will burn in the hell that will be created when all the truth comes to light? To me, yes, we do need to take care of the earth, but it seems a bit hypocritical to me for politicians to tell us that we're using too much energy and the like and then fly in their private jets and have gigantic energy bills in their mansions (yes, Al Gore, I'm looking at you). Sorry for the political rant, but to me, they go hand in hand.
  24. A hyperactive version of John Madden whose English skills are hard to understand at times. But extremely opinionated, which makes for interesting times, if you can understand him.
  25. Phelps is amazing! And Lochte was quite impressive as well. To take gold and then about a half hour later get a bronze, that's quite the accomplishment!
