  1. The Mighty Mayville Cardinals here. Nobody really famous came from there because it's a pretty boring place. Glad I'm not there anymore.
  2. Or better yet, the "Former Brewers Fit Club" Contestants to include (but not limited to):Joey Meyer Ray King Franklin Stubbs Antone Williamson Ronnie Belliard
  3. Definitely not the announcers. They were making comments like, it will be a close race for maybe the first 100 or 150 meters, but watch, Phelps will pull away and make look easy. I mean, they dropped the "He hasn't lost this race in the last 6 years", so you knew it was going to happen. It was awesome, and the relay was even more amazing to watch as the US team just blew away everyone else in the water.
  4. Yeah.....Phelps is amazing. Not much more to say.
  5. Link Just don't understand the guy. To show up at a Giants event and make it about YOU? Come on, Barroid! You can say over and over you haven't retired, but you're done. And to call out Joe Torre? That was just weird.
  6. Seriously? I spent 5 years for college in Nebraska, and there wasn't much that I really liked about many places in the state.
  7. There is much more than the riverwalk, although there is lots to do there. The first thing I thought when I went to the riverwalk the first time was, wow, the sidewalks are a lot narrower than I thought. You can very easily fall in the river, if you're not careful (or drunk). But you can go tour the Alamo (which is actually quite interesting), tour the missions of San Antonio, Sea World, and Six Flags as well. And food wise, there's a lot of great choices of local BBQ places, Tex-Mex places, and any kind of food.
  8. Wow! Thanks. I've never been someone's hero before. I just am not creative enough to come up with something else, and I have nothing to hide.
  9. Mine is my name....yeah, I know. I'm creative.
  10. I thought BA was the enforcer. Hannibal was the leader, because he came up with the plans. So, if Prince is the BA Baracus of the Brewers, is Ned the Hannibal? Is Braun Face? Or Kendall? Edit: I can see it now..... Prince: "I, you know, pity the, you know, fool, you know, you know, who, you know, disrespects, you know, Prince, you know." Ned: "I need more coffee" Kendall: "I have a plan" Braun: "Does my hair look OK?" (Just kidding on that one)
  11. But he's not apologizing for his passion! Just the way it went down. Sorry Prince, but to be a leader, you have to act the part. Ryan Braun, J.J. Hardy and Ray Durham are more the leaders I want on the team than you.
  12. Prince is allegedly a team leader. We don't know the story behind why this happened, but even if Manny said something about Prince's mother, you don't do that as a team leader. I don't know if the Brewers should be looking this winter for deals for him, but I definitely struggle to call him a team leader. You don't attack your own teammates. I also put a bit of this on Yost, as a manager, you have to see this coming and head it off, if you're paying attention, or it seems you have no control of your team. And does Ned have control of this team?
  13. Well, most poisons contain chemicals that harm the brain, therefore making them insane. OH! You mean the BAND Poison. I got nothing for you. Every Rose has its thorn was one of my favorite songs in 3rd grade, although I didn't know what exactly it meant.
  14. I'm hoping that this Cubs debacle is akin to being no-hit by Verlander next year. I'm hoping that it propels them to a long, winning streak and lots of good stuff for the team.
  15. Griffey needs to end up in the AL sooner or later. He's not that great in the field, but I think he still wants to play a few more years. He's already in the top 5 of all time homerun hitters (Sosa and Bonds don't count in my book) and I'd like to see him get to 700. That may be tough to do, but I think if he DHs, he could play a few more years.
  16. Sounds like she doesn't know what she wants. Just stay clear. Enjoy this time in your life. You won't get it back.
  17. CC will keep the Cubs fans quiet and Braun and the rest of the team will give the Brewers fans plenty to get loud about tonight. GO BREWERS!!!
  18. I didn't watch the game, but I tried to follow along on the in-game chat and gameday, and I'm not surprised Ned said that Soup was one pitch away from getting out of it before Blum hit the homer. But what happened after that? Was it because he was one pitch away and then just couldn't do anymore after that? Ned can only get so much of the blame, because the players are out there to execute. Granted, in this game, there was a lack of execution, and Ned does deserve some blame. I get being a players' manager, but there's got to be accountability!
  19. Has this ever happened, that something positive about the Brewers (on the field) would lead off Sports Center? Not that I really care for ESPN, but they had a quote from Ned in his press conference, a quote from Braun, and lots of Braun love. Anyone surprised?
  20. Oh! Well, yeah, they don't have any superstar hitters. Or any superstar pitchers either.
  21. I need to see consistency. He's been doing OK, but I wouldn't throw him into the 8th inning anytime soon just yet.
  22. Really? Who hit the walkoff homer on Thursday night? Who hit the homer to tie up the game tonight? If he's not a superstar hitter, I'd like to know who you think is a superstar hitter.
  23. Game over.....CUBS LOSE!!! CUBS LOSE!!!! Now it's up to the Brewers to win.
  24. 2 down Did WGN America just give up? They just said all their thank yous.
