  1. At least he's not on the Brewers.
  2. Currently watching "A Christmas Story". Great stuff!
  3. At least Prince won't be going to the Yankees when he hits free agency!
  4. Chuck E..........no wait. I'm out of ideas.
  5. Remotes, coffee mugs, whatever is closest to me.
  6. Snow is such a rare occurrence in Portland. I remember 5 years ago before I moved away from the Portland metro area, there was about 3-4 inches of snow followed by ice. Everything was shut down for 4 days, and I remember so many truckers being upset because nothing was done about the interstates.
  7. OK, I woke up this morning and it is COLD! Well, not Wisconsin-like cold, probably low 30's, but it's windy and cold! The good news is that by Christmas Day, it's going to be in the mid 70's. I'll take being in San Antonio this year and having 70s, versus being in Sheboygan (where I was the last 3 years) and have what's there currently.
  8. Again? Wow! That's a big deal in Portland to have snow.
  9. Hey, if Jamie Moyer got a 2 year contract at age 46, then there's hope for Cappy.
  10. Love it.
  11. Texas typically doesn't salt the roads, because usually a few hours after snow falls, it melts. No one slows down when it snows, so there's usually lots of accidents.
  12. That's huge! In January of '04, Portland had a major snow/ice event. I remember this because I flew back from Texas visiting my folks and wife (fiancee at the time) and we were mini golfing outside of Austin and it's 70's and I'm flying back to Portland and it's going to snow. The city was pretty much shut down for a few days, because God forbid they'd use salt out there! That would ruin the delicate balance of nature out there. Anyway...it's a big deal. Enjoy!
  13. I'm thankful we didn't get snow here in San Antonio, but a lot of other places got a bit of snow here in Texas. The cold and wind is bugging me, because I gave my winter coat to Goodwill when I left Wisconsin. Sure could've used it this week!
  14. Somewhere go brewcrew (the author of that amazing thread) is crying about Lou Palsmo not being Brwer anymore. Or, maybe he's posting on the Astros boards that their WOAHS are SOLVDD. Anyway, good luck Cap'n!
  15. I thought CC wanted to be in SoCal and have an opportunity to hit regularly. I guess the phraseology of a certain wordsmith rings true here. "It's all about the Benjamins, baby". Truer words never spoken.
  16. We got snow down here in Texas last night. Not the feet that Wisconsin gets, but in some areas a little light dusting. It's cold and windy this morning. So the warm places aren't always warm. Bright side is by the weekend the highs will be back up in the low 70's.
  17. http://tbn3.google.com/images?q=tbn:bNwbK-DylwsBDM:http://i165.photobucket.com/albums/u69/jesper13/ORLYowl.jpgReally. We have the southern end of the front you guys are getting up there and the high tomorrow in San Antonio is going to be in the mid 50's....that's cold for here. I'll take that and not have to live in snow and cold for 5 months and be quite happy.
  18. I DVR'd their Christmas special on public television, and much to my surprise (somewhat), there's a lot of hair going on in the TSO. Amazing!
  19. Moving from Wisconsin to Texas last January....got away from the real bitter cold and snow that I detested in my living in Wisconsin for 3 years after graduating from college. No doubt the best idea I've ever had.
  20. I had that happen the New Years of 1999 in St. Louis. Pretty amazing. Killed an ice scraper in the process, the stuff was so thick. Good luck to everyone up there. Be safe!
  21. Wow. How the mighty have fallen. From stand-up to "Home Improvement" to "The Santa Clause" to hosting local sports talk radio.
  22. This leaves me with a few questions.....Rick Astley is still alive? Wow. Also, I've never done drugs, but I feel like I have after watching that video. And effect would drugs have on watching that video. I agree on the funny, strange and creepy. Just plain weird.
  23. $1.63 at Sam's Club in San Antonio
