  1. How do we know Linebrink doesn't want to be here? Did I miss something?
  2. How many games has Dillon played at 2B this year? The 5 games I've gone to in the past few weeks he's been at 3B.
  3. I won't have to watch the game on mlb.tv! It isn't bad, but friends calling after a big hit and I haven't seen it yet stinks...there's like a 10 - 30 second delay based on who is doing the broadcast.
  4. I'm going to be selfish and just flat out say it will be fun to see Weeks in Nashville. I've seen and spoke with Gross and he seemed to have taken everything alright and now hopefully Rickie will be the same. Gross has been one of the first ones out stretching and getting ready. I think I might go to all the games next weekend to see Rickie.
  5. Agreed. He either is having a bad year or the wrist. Either way I don't want him as one of the reasons for not getting into the playoffs and the Crew to continue to go with him. His "benching" from Yost obviously was nothing.
  6. I like how fans are encouraged to post trades in the chat, but is anyone filtering them?
  7. This was in the ESPN forum...not confirmed yet, but it would seem strange.
  8. What type of deal would it take to get him as a minor league free agent? Would he prefer a better shot at making a big league team? I'd have to guess he would.
  9. As mentioned in the Transactions...Sarfate to the DL with a neck strain.
  10. Is he a free agent at the end of this year?
  11. I say no go Gagne unless we can somehow give up only a few pieces (which I don't see happening).
  12. With the season a little over 2/3 done I thought it might be interesting to see who everyone thinks is the most surprising position player and pitcher and the most disappointing for both. As for surprising, I think Braun (I knew he'd be good, but maybe not THIS good so fast) and Vargas (his number might not be great, but I never thought he'd have the best winning % this late in the year). As far as disappointing, I'd go with Weeks (if only he'd be hitting at his potential and injury concnerns) and Sheets as far as pitching just based on the injury concerns occuring again.
  13. I really don't want to give up Parra or CV. That's parting with the now of team and guys who are somewhat proven at this level (albeit not as much so for Parra). I'd rather give up a prospect at a lower level to make this happen. Does anyone know if the Brewers are high on Gwynn? Or do people believe he will eventually be traded? Texas can always take Mench back...that's unlikely I know.
  14. Warm ups do take their toll, but if Coco is tired now it pretty much is Ned's fault or Coco is not a year long closer. Ned has been pretty picky when he puts him in, but has used him in some rather long stretches. Maybe he's just slumping a bit? You can't expect him to get everyone.
  15. And Jenkins dad only threw fastballs, so he struggles a bit with the offspeed stuff.
  16. I've mentioned rotating Yo and Parra before to help limit innings, but that seams a bit of a pipedream maybe. I'm thinking barring injury Parra will get sent down at some point. I'd try to keep him until/if Sheets is ready and rotate with Yo.
  17. I guess that makes sense. It's kind of odd he's really the only non-player/coach who actually wears a Sounds jersey and everything. I'd assume they'd put a name on the jersey and list him as the bullpen catcher on the program or website thought. Thanks for the info!
  18. I think there are enough teams that will give him a shot in their bullpen. As mentioned in this post, a change might be good for him, but I've always been a Sarfate fan and maybe it will still work out. It's interesting how fast the injury news traveled from the clubhouse and then to the bullpen (I was sitting fourth row so I could hear all kinds of conversations). There was one good one involving Bray and Hackman debating who will get called up, what the Brewers need, etc.
  19. Wouldn't he at least get his name on the back of his jersey? And this guy looks fairly young and hasn't really looked like he's been instructing. He seems to be warm of some type of bullpen catcher, but in the past the guys on the bench would warm up the pitchers and then the back up would come out once the pitcher is ready to really let it go.
  20. McClung looked real good last night (I know it's just one outing). He just looks like a Maddux project with as hard as he can throw. If he and Maddux fix the control issues I think this might be a find. I would imagine (there's no radar at Greer) that he was throwing 95 - 98 mph.
  21. P.S. I will be uploading a picture of this number 7 guy later today.
  22. The guys in the bullpen last night (Steve Bray and Vinny Rottino) said that Sarfate has been told not to throw at all for 4 to 5 days and he will then be looked at once again, but it doesn't not appear that he tore anything -- this was the update in the eighth inning.
  23. He signed autographs after the game again last night. He even had one of his friends bring him some dip to the bullpen. Who is this guy? I have to admit it was funny watching him help Scott McClung warm up. The number 7 guy warmed him and then Rottino came in to "help". Number 7 had a hard time catching all the heaters.
  24. That probably would make some sense, but he must have signed like 15 or 20 autographs with his number 7 on it...I thought that was kind of odd.
  25. That is an odd line to have...especially the strike numbers.
