  1. I believe they should push Sheets up (due to off day) till Saturday so it can benefit them by maximizing his starts. That means he would start Thursday, July 3rd;Tuesday, July 8th; and Sunday, July 13th before the All-Star break and then he could pitch on regular rotation on Friday after All-Star break. Who cares if he pitches in New York? He gives us best chance to win and Brewers need to take full advantage. I predict though that they will keep this same rotation and he will pitch in All-Star game and won't pitch again till the Sunday after the break. That means Sheets will not pitch for us from from July 9th until July 20th and is a span of 7 games. Doesn't make any sense to do that to me. Thoughts?
  2. I would rather him make the team and take a bow at intros and be ready to pitch the first game back after the layoff. Last year they gave him a game or two off after pitching in the All-Star game and I believe that was the game against the Rockies that he got hurt in.
  3. How can't you smile after a performance like that by Sheets. My friend Rickie with a great game as well.
  4. Hall has definitely had better ABs lately. Hit into a couple tough outs tonight. Encouraging to see.
  5. Why does the Crew hit so bad when their is a runner on third and less than two outs. Even with their good play as of late, I would like to see this get significantly better. I'm not complaining and just commenting. Team playing well tonight so far.
  6. Not to be a pessimist, but I dont like how the Crew has quit hitting suddenly. It reminds me of games last year. The Braves get one in the 6th. One in 8th and we go 4-3 in the ninth and... Knock on wood already applied.
  7. Why aren't they doing that right now for games that they know will be sellouts? (for example, when the Cubs come into town). Supply and demand of course is very simple economics, but baseball is NOT just any other business. Owners have been given a gift to be allowed in MLB, and they have a certain responsibility, I feel. Brian, I agree it is not necessarily morally right and I truly hate the Cubs, but it is driven by the almighty dollar. I know the Red Sox do the same thing as well. Hell, I had to pay $130 per ticket to see a games at Fenway that I purchased through a team broker for seats behind Pesky's pole for god's sake. The other tix I got were through Stubhub for same price for other game. The clubs want to get into the action and make more money on their product and I have no problem with that. You know though, it was worth every penny. It just depends on what you value most. Heck, I wouldn't pay $50 for a Nintendo Wii, but some people will sleep in tents overnight to be the first to purchase it.
  8. Its supply and demand. Very simple economics. Some day if the Brewers popularity rises more, they may do the same thing.
  9. He will miss one start and his future will be determined tomorrow. He has a minor strain in his shoulder per Comcast Sports.
  10. I would rather there be no injuries either. But this is Carlos Zambrano. This jerk does not have any sympathy for anyone but himself. If a guy is hurt, who better than him, right? Let's see what happens first. I'm sure it is nothing more than a short DL stint.
  11. Oh boy...what if the Cubs and their fans got a taste of our bad medicine???
  12. Actually, he was pretty darn good when he stopped popping the ball up and making basket catches. Maybe Billy needs to do some push ups.
  13. Talking about an ass. I was so right about Bill Hall in many previous posts that I got ripped on. I have known about about his stubborn selfish butt for years and it fell on deaf ears. Now do you guys understand why I said those things? I do know some people in the organization and they know. After Estrada, he was the biggest pain for management last year. Now he took over that role.
  14. Well, maybe its the cubs turn to get injuries. Soriano got drilled in the hand and is on the way to hospital for X-Rays.
  15. Bucksman, I respect your opinion, but I just don't get the Yost defense. I know cited examples are wanted on this site, but I just dont have the time.
  16. It all goes back to the Hernan AB. That makes absolutely no sense to me whatsoever. I don't bash the Taverez move. Truth is, inning should have been one run at most.
  17. The last guy in the bench gets a chance. Why? I know the rest of the bench is pretty mediocre, but this plain makes no sense to me. Kapler?
  18. Why Hernan is this key spot? I would not put a rookie against Oswalt here at all. This is a spot for Dillon.
  19. I just can't believe we would do that. I love this team and organization but sometimes I wonder what they are thinking. Hit a guy before Berkman. I'm out of words.
  20. Where's my old buddy BilyHallFan? God, I'm gonna miss those battles. Bill Hall does still have a place here as a platoon player and I know he would succeed. However, his big ego may not let that happen.
  21. Bush is a #5 starter. No more no less.
  22. A good time had by all tonight for a good cause. Rickie, Braun, JJ, Uek, Melvin, Ash, Rivera, Cameron, and DeFelice were all in attendence. I got to meet every one of them but Gord Ash. Actually chatted with Rick twice because we talked about things to do in Chicago and made fun of Carlo Lee's "popgun" arm and ripped the Cubs. Melvin was awesome to talk to. Braun was mobbed. Well worth the money and also won Don Mattingly signed baseball as well as 2007 Packer signed football. Great times for a great cause.
  23. Ok, I'm sorry I have to be Joe Negative. However, it was a jam shot blooper that he got lucky on. On a positive note, the steal was fantastic. I also like that Yost had Rickie bunt to set it all up with two big hitters. Nice job.
