  1. Morosi says Phillippe Aumont and Michael Taylor are heading to Toronto.
  2. They traded Jones last year for Bedard. They traded Jones two years ago for Bedard. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  3. I don't think so. Great defense, they stole Figgins from their division rival and now Lackey is going to the Red Sox. That division is wide open right now and if they get Lee, I have to think that Seattle will be right in the mix for the division, if not the favorite.
  4. Helms hit the game winning homer against the Mets in the final game of the 2008 season. He may have had a couple game winning hits against us, but I'll look the other way after that homer. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  5. I totally forgot about that. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif
  6. You can't just throw appearances out. These are the stats for each player. Villanueva as a reliever for his whole career and McClung as a reliever only with the Brewers (his numbers would look a lot worse if I put in his numbers with Tampa Bay.) Villanueva - 222.2 IP, 7.88 H/9, 3.96 ERA, 1.21 WHIP, 3.03 BB/9, 8.69 K/9, 3.86 FIP McClung - 108.1 IP, 7.89 H/9, 3.82 ERA, 1.49 WHIP, 5.48 BB/9, 6.98 K/9, 4.56 FIP Villanueva is just a better pitcher than McClung and he's going to be cheaper. Simple as that.
  7. 2004. He came back in 2005 and posted a 2.39 ERA. It's kind of surprising, he had the surgery in August of 2004 and was ready for opening day 2005.
  8. We've just owned North Dakota at Ralph Engelstad the last four years we've played them there. Out of a possible 16 points, we've gotten 13. That's an awesome job on the road no matter who you play, it's especially impressive since North Dakota's record in those four years is 86-51-13 compared to our 80-49-13.
  9. I wasn't surprised at all that Villanueva was tendered a contract. He's a good relief guy who isn't going to be very expensive. Gerut wasn't really that surprising either since he can play all three outfield spots and isn't going to cost more than any other fourth outfielder that's worth anything most likely. Bush was sort of surprising to me.
  10. You can't intentionally walk Yuniesky Betancourt, he'll swing at the intentional balls.
  11. Very interested. He's never played CF and I don't think he can, but he played 650ish innings in LF and while it's a small sample he posted an impressive 10.3 UZR. Letting him play a corner spot in the outfield could open up a trade for Hart and it would give us insurance at second base if Weeks gets hurt again.
  12. Seth classy all the way.
  13. I bet Paula Zahn has a better bat than Kendall. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  14. I would've guessed more like 75.
  15. 2006 was done entirely out of the bullpen, only 8 starts in 2007 and 19 in 2008. Ask Vargas about starting and relieving. Once again, I have no problem pursuing him, it just shouldn't take anything more than a mediocre prospect to get him knowing that he'll be non-tendered and if it does take more than that, then he's not worth trading for imo.
  16. The Bucks have had one good season in the last 20. The history was in the 70s and 80s. Heck, look at the Sonics. They have the same number of titles as the Bucks, they had six straight years of at least 55 wins from 91-92 to 97-98 which is far better than anything the Bucks have done and they still moved after Clay Bennett bought the team, said Key Arena wasn't a viable NBA arena and moved them to his hometown which just so happened to have a brand new arena for them to move into. Bottom line is if Kohl sells the team and the Bucks don't have a new arena, the Bucks will be moved at some point, most likely within a few years of the team being bought. The Bradley Center just isn't a viable NBA arena.
  17. How is what I'm doing any different than you ignoring his entire career previous to last year which was decidedly mediocre? Look, I have no problem trading for Correia if it doesn't cost anything more than a very, very mediocre prospect. If it costs anything more than that, no big deal, he's not likely to be as good as last year.
  18. Both of those guys pitched last year. There's no way Sheets is worth $10 million next year and I would be shocked if he got anything close to that as a base salary.
  19. I'm not doing that. He has a career 4.41 FIP, 5.04 tRA and 4.61 xFIP pitching exlusively in the NL West his entire career. He was also bad enough to be demoted to the minors as recently as 2008.
  20. Has there been any team even offering prospects? I'm sure they're all thinking "let's go after him after he's non-tendered. That way we don't have to give up anything for him." It's really not going to take much if he's traded. Certainly not Green.
  21. http://twitter.com/jcrasnick/status/6506102513
  22. Because Correia is going to be non-tendered. Give up a fringe prospect at most, otherwise try to get him after he's non-tendered.
  23. Louisville and Kansas City are two names that pop into my head right away. Both have new arenas either built or opening soon as well.
  24. I agree with Sox. Green and Villanueva is far too much for Correia. Since it's known that Correia will be non-tendered, I wouldn't offer any good prospect or player on the major league roster.
