Don't buy it for a second. You're going to have a lot of trouble convincing people that Salome and Lucroy couldn't do better than the .636 OPS and .290 wOBA that Kendall put up. I mean look at Lucroy's projection in this. .251/.339/.383. Far better than Kendall.
The Brewers know the risk of giving a toolsy player who may not figure out how to hit thousands of dollars and they also know/knew that he was recruited to play football as well. If they didn't want to take that risk, they wouldn't have drafted him.
So let's say one pitcher is throwing 88 with a decent curveball and another pitcher is throwing 94 with a good slider. Which pitcher is more likely to strand runners?
Only two or three? I'd take Augustin, Lopez, Bayless, Thompson, Rush, Randolph, Speights, Hibbert, McGee, Hickson, Anderson, Lee, Batum, Hill, White, Chalmers, Jordan, Mbah a Moute and Douglas-Roberts over Alexander.
Badgers have looked fantastic so far tonight. Granted, they're playing UAA, but I've never seen them attack this much on offense. They just had a 2 on 1 break down two men and after the 5 on 3 expired they got another wide open break on a beautiful pass by Grotting I believe. And as I type this the Badgers get another goal to make it 3-0.
So they get 48 minutes of quality center play a night? So if Bogut goes down with an injury they don't have to play Gadzuric and Elson for those 48 minutes? Alexander was so not the right pick. He had a good 10-15 game stretch, everyone way overhyped him and he shot up the draft boards based on that. He should've been a late 1st round pick. Also, how was Alexander the right pick when we just traded for Jefferson? That's a weak argument anyways since no team should draft on need.
Can't imagine anyone being upset about this. He was awful last year, even if we want him back, there's no way we should've paid that much. He's going to be getting much less than that.
I actually wouldn't. I think Bogut is better than Lopez and I think Jennings has the chance to be the best player of all four. In the NBA, if you have two players in two groups, you're going to come out on top if you pick the group with the best player of the four.
I don't really see the point. We shouldn't trade for him unless we're only paying $3-5 million per year of his salary and San Francisco isn't going to pay that much of his salary just to move him.
Because Elias has the dumbest rankings ever? Maybe I would take it more seriously if John Grabow didn't garner more compensation than Cameron, Carl Crawford, Rich Harden and Andy Pettitte.
The team that had the best OPS in the National League was the team that struck out the most in the majors and scored the second most runs in the National League.
