  1. Burnes' changeup is faster than the 2010 Brewers' starters' fastballs (except for Gallardo and the 16 starts from Manny Parra.)
  2. Only took 13 innings for Molina and the Cardinals to play victim.
  3. I can't agree with this. The time to find your wallet is the same as to find your phone and then after that it's: grab cash vs. unlock phone + wait for phone to load + find app + wait for app to load + find ticket in app... not to mention hope your internet is good + hope your phone hasn't died + hope you haven't been logged out of the app for some reason, etc... and a lot of that happens even if you do have your phone ready and it just enters the lock screen on you while you're pulling up to the parking attendant. I think you'll have more people that won't have the right screen on their phone ready to go and there's a lot more going on that can make it take longer than simply paying with cash or showing some sort of printed ticket. Screenshot the QR code or bar code or whatever it is. Then all you have to do is open your photos, click the photo with the code and get it scanned. Simple, takes two seconds.
  4. That Wagner shot was so funny because immediately after it was released you could tell it was going to be way short.
  5. And the strikeouts have gone down and the homers have gone way the hell up. It turns out having slightly better ability to find the plate doesn't mean much when the location of the pitches in the strike zone lead to being hit. Hard.
  6. I think generally the upside a player has definitely goes away at nearly 31 years of age. If they haven't found a mechanical adjustment to throw strikes in 10 years of pro ball, it seems extremely unlikely that it will be found and the same argument would be made when the trade happened. Almost 30 with 8 years of pro ball. If the adjustment was there and correctable, it wouldn't likely take 8 years to find it.
  7. So much for Black having "huge upside", which he never had but didn't stop some from thinking that he did.
  8. If Bruce Ciskie still posted here he could tell us about the time he called the longest game in tournament history.
  9. Hoerner had an amazing first 6 games (.417/.481/.750) in a huge market with a popular team that got him some great hype. Then in the last 14 games of 2019 he hit .222/.218 (not a typo)/.296 and last year he only hit .222/.313/.259 and those numbers are well deserved based on his StatCast numbers.
  10. I guess I don't see why McKinney would get the roster spot over Vogelbach. I'd rather have the pinch hitter who can at the very least work the count and have a better chance of getting on base. McKinney is obviously a better and more versatile defender but how much is he really going to play in the outfield with the 4 we have? And even if we needed another outfielder, we still have Taylor who is probably as good as McKinney is anyways.
  11. Brutal Beydoun. Trying not to swear.
  12. Bemidji State looks like the #1 seed. Faster, stronger. Very disappointing performance so far.
  13. Early but the Badgers look like trash.
  14. His problem is he tries way too hard to be funny so he'll say literally anything that some person might find funny so for every one he hits on, he has about 20 awful jokes.
  15. That's why I always store my meth in a teammates' bag.
  16. Regardless of your feelings about Shaw, and he doesn't impress me either, I have a hard time believing that a guy who has struck out 31% of the time between AA and AAA and is now 27 years old is going to be anything other than a bad major league hitter.
  17. Unfortunately for Urias, he's not going to get to play 4,000 feet above sea level like he did in AAA.
  18. Great question by Sophia. How did it feel to watch that ball go out? Well, as someone trying to make the team, I feel like it would've been better if I had made an out instead.
