    I wonder if teams will be using that extra roster spot for a 3rd catcher. Narvaez could see time at 1st too Stearns said. I think Nottingham would have a chance to stick on the roster.

    YES! and we should have given Moose 4 years and we should sign Cole, MadBum, and Wheeler to complete the rotation. that team would be awesome!

    Don’t call him out though. I pointed out how he was wrong on Twitter once and he blocked me. I had to disable my account and create a new one so I could follow him as he does retweet a lot of things that I like to see. you don't need to follow him to see his tweets. i get them all on bleacher report's brewers feed.

    I wish MLB would just let you trade any pick (or maybe any pick in the first few rounds). Seems crazy to be the only league with such rules.

    yes seager is just an overpaid guy. IF though we can soften the return by taking on salary, I'm Ok with that. (not my money though)

    I think he said "nearing", the reason we don't know the return is it is not done I think.

    this is great news to wake up to. Again for those freaking out that the free agent market was thinning and the brewers were doing nothing, just relax. Stearns and Mark A were not going to waste a season with Christian Yelich on a rebuild. Never made sense.

    Next season is 2020. 2015 performance is not relevant i am fairly certain that was his point, but i can't speak for him.

    The rangers really don't have a defined retro look to go back to. They have pretty bland uniforms and logo. This is a franchise that would have been better off doing something completely new rather than make some minor changes to their current set. I agree that its an infield single at best.

    Miller Park has had few issues keeping the grass nice over the last 20 years, no reason to switch (nor would i want them to)

    None of the players that were non- tendered proved they deserved a roster spot next season. The only one that is close he Claudio. I liked him more than just about any fan I knew. It’s too bad they gave up a valuable pick for only one season of him. I have faith that these spots will be used more wisely in 2020.

    i wasn't really signaling you out, i am more frustrated by the amount of fans here and other places that are freaking out so early into the offseason.

    I'd be concerned if it was February, but can we atleast wait until then before going into full freakout mode. These moves are not made in a vacuum.

    YES! which is why he is available. Thats why its hard for me to propose a trade, because anything i come up with, i think then team X would never do that.

    thats not happening. i am fine for asking for the moon, but I don't think the mets would do alonso for hader straight up even.

    anyone else see the trade value chart on this one? 55.2 for Urias 16.5 for Lauer 71.7 total .8 for Davie 8.8 for Grisham 9.6 total

    agreed, my point is that they have a backup plan now.

    some observations 1) softens the blow on loosing dubon, we now have a new SS of the future. 2) Arcia definitely doesn't have to be moved, but we now have insurance and a plan moving forward 3) something has to be up with the rotation, yes they got a starter back but seems like a classic #5 one and they have up a #3. 4) Can't move Braun to 1st anymore with the roster as it is, but its early so maybe still. You basically have 4 OF's with experience on the roster. overall I approve of this.

    Yes, there isn't a Yaz free right now. I think a trade is more likely than a signing at this point, but I just can't believe they would go into the season with that catching corp.

    I'd be shocked if a trade or signing isn't made. Remember Yaz signed on 1/14 last season. I just don't get the level of anxiety this early in free agency / offseason.

    Game #2 is where its at. this year being a saturday night against the cubs, may skip that one too.

    Omar for Grisham / Henry? I think it is going to take a decent package to get him, which may not be worth it for a catcher that struggles defensively.
