  1. i would have still DFA'd Rivera and kept Magnifico on the 40 man. i understand why Schaill wasn't brought up. the brewers can bring Rob up on Thursday and send Gofoth back down which i wouldn't be surprised if that happens.
  2. I understand why this did this, but this move is horrible. Goforth is nothing special and I would rather have had Cravy, Scahill, or Mangnifico up instead in a heart beat from brewers.com "By rule, teams cannot recall a 40-man roster player within 10 days of Opening Day, unless he is replacing an injured player. So that explains why the Brewers added Goforth, 28, and designated Magnifico, rather than simply call up Magnifico."
  3. i read somewhere last night, that the price is thought to be similar to what the Jets got from the Bucs for Revis (1st and 4th), that would be a harder pill to swallow, although given TT's history with 1st round picks, it may be still worth it to go all in before the nucleus is too old or gone.
  4. i'm asking this because i am curious of what Packer fans say and not that i am openly advocating it, would you trade a 2nd rd pick for Richard Sherman. it would settle the CB issue and the packers would be going all in as key players are on the wrong side of 30. that being said i know TT would never part with a pick for a 29 year old CB with a 13 million cap number, also we have no idea what the Seahawks would be looking for.
  5. he isn't a bad baseball player. he is a career 279 hitter, with some pop for a middle infielder and was OK defensively. his biggest downfall was he could only play 1 position and probably wasn't a good fit for the brewers.
  6. i was on walterfootball today and they have king as the pick, who i know little about but seems to be a nice sized corner back. peppers was on the board, which if he is there i would be royally perturbed if he isn't the pick.
  7. he was the last guy to make the team technically and did himself no favors yesterday. Marinez has no options i believe so it would have to be Jungmann.
  8. out of curiosity, to those that were there this weekend or yesterday, was pricing much higher for food items
  9. 8/12 right, not too bad, looking back that taker prediction was stupid and nobody would have guessed the hardz would come back.
  10. this is what Stearns does so nobody should be surprised. If Hughes doesn't cut it, then they will sign another reliever from somewhere. Since Cravy and Scahill had options there was no downside to add depth to the rotation knowing they can come up at a moments notice. if they were out of options the story would have been different.
  11. i think they are selling food inside this area from what i read and they do plan to bring in bands. the brewers have tried bringing in bands to play in fridays for some weekend games with little success maybe being in the lots will help.
  12. there are 3 matches that i am looking forward to, other than that , meh. but the matches that the story line were long dragged out on like jericho vs owens should be good last year it wasn't over until about 11, with the pre-show thats 7 hours.
  13. Since wrestlemania is this weekend and the old thread was for 2016, i am starting a new one. only a few matches in wrestlemania i am looking forward to and they mostly on the smackdown side. cena / nikki vs miz / maryse and bray vs orton should be classics, as well as KO vs Y2J anyway some predictions: battle royal - Braun cruiser weight championship - nevlle retains smackdown womens belt - if aska appears she wins, if not i'll take naomi raw tag team - enzo / cass intercontinental - corbin shane vs AJ - AJ wins mixed tag team - cena / nikki wins KO vs Y2K - KO raw womens - bayley taker - roman - taker seth vs triple h - seth with interference by Samoa Joe and finn. orton vs wyatt - orton goldberg vs lesnar - lesnar (lock of the night)
  14. it would be nice to just put those in the paper, the brewers want all the positive press of their new food offerings but won't advertise the prices until you go to a game to see.
  15. yeah last season it was 850? for a 24 oz miller lite and now it appears to be 10 bucks for a 16 ounce draft, that is an insane increase. Also i did enjoy getting a craft beer can, but those were 8-9 bucks last season and now 10-14 on draft. this seems like a very large price increase, i know beer prices have risen a quarter or 50 cents a season, but this is a large increase in 1 season.
  16. i haven't gotten too much into the draft yet, but i like the idea of drafting Forrest Lamp in the 1st round, although i would be happy with Watt too.
  17. i would trade gallo for peralta in a second, but not Guerra. i think the brewers should bet on him to see if they can't turn him into a better prospect if he has another good 1st half. anyway, IF a trade is coming, wouldn't it be for a middle infielder, the best they have off the bench is perez and they have 3 guys now that can only play the corner IF positions, Gallo would be 4 then.
  18. can't you say the same thing about Gallo?
  19. something is up, i know in past years spot #5 wasn't announced until the very end of spring, and normally because of off days that spot was used for the 1st week or 2, but i never remember spots 3-4 not being announced yet, by now the manager has aligned the rotation up for next week.
  20. I don't like the idea of trading Peralta with 2 years left of arbitration. Pitching is so expensive the brewers shouldn't be trading young controllable assets unless the other team is going to way overspend for him.
  21. me either except for looking at schedule for promotions etc. I miss the days that every teams website looked different instead of corporate cookie cut. the only thing that really bugs me (for whatever reason) is the banner on top.
  22. was Scooter the "more news" or is something pitching related coming, hmmmm
  23. it made no sense keeping him on the roster once Villar moved to 2nd. i was just hoping they would get something for him, but i am glad to shred the salary and clear the roster spot. I like the idea of keeping Sogard only for a lefty bat off of the bench.
  24. Has anyone else seen that the websites for all clubs were completely re-done? at first glance i do not like it, looks very boiler plate. no marketing slogans, etc. every teams site looks identical.
  25. nobody is banning 18 year olds from working. i am an engineer, i wasn't banned form working as an engineer at 18, i was just unqualified and needed to get a degree first. I do give you that these kids can do the job, so in that sense you do have a point, but if there is a job requirement to play in the NBA (one year of college, or whatever). that is no different that any white color job. But they're basing it purely on age. Totally different. They don't have to draft them, if they're unqualified (as in your example) then just don't draft them. not really, for example to be a lifeguard you have to be 16, that has never been questioned in court. to bartend you have to be 21, i can go on. its not just sports players that has age restrictions on the job.
