  1. i think a pre-season, mid-season and post season would be sufficient. The midseason one would take into account drafted players. I do think though that the pre and post season ones would see little influx, so maybe one or the other.
  2. funny this thread came up, i'm trying to capture prince's walk up song off of itunes for a brewers walk up music cd (can't find the mp3 anywhere) I used audacity and the finished product sounds like i put a tape player up to my computer speakers. Does anyone have any tips on getting a clean mp3?
  3. the food is not that great. You definitely have to play the game the first time to get it. If you order one of their specialty drinks, you can keep the glass and get cheap refills the rest of the night. Its very much a tourist bar. I went during the harley reunion last summer and had a great time. Probably have only been there a half dozen times. They have a dj during weekend and a dance floor. Also if you are there to catch a bachelor / baccalaureate party there its quite an experience to watch what they do for them.
  4. cbs 2 in LA has video of prince trying to enter the dodgers locker room after the game http://cbs2.com/video/?id=110706@kcbs.dayport.com
  5. 1250 reporting that the bucks are willing to match sessions up to 3 million which i doubt will be good enough, as i'm going to guess he gets in the 4.5/million a year range from the knicks. Sessions and Jennings would of been a decent PG tandem too.
  6. it depends on your definition of "losers". By loosing major league talent, its the pirates. If you mean giving up too much to get what you got, i am going with the white sox. If you mean not doing enough to help your club, the brewers would be up there.
  7. well then why was green bay able to attract players after they signed White. There was really no hope of winning before 92 and the winters there are worse. I still think winning is the cure-all. The bucks of the late 80's and early 90's were a fringe playoff team. Its not like they were going to a team that actually had a chance to do any damage in the playoffs. Before 01. the bucks did not make a serious playoff run since 1986.
  8. i'm sure lots of you have already seen this, but this video does a pretty great job of summing up the attitude most in the NBA have towards the good land of mil-ee-wau-kay. I'm pretty sure it has more to do with the team loosing than anything else. When the bucks were good and while it didn't work out but Anthony Mason wanted to come here when he had other choices. Trevor Hoffman said recently that Milwaukee was a free agent destination spot. The problem is that the bucks have not been good for almost a decade. Couple that with being in the upper midwest with rough winters, i could see how free agents don't want to come here. If the bucks were an upper echelon team, i don't think that attitude exists.
  9. bowen released, saved 2 million.
  10. i heard on 1250 that if they don't trade / release bowen today, his 2 million guaranteed becomes 4.
  11. that would be the definition of a stop gap move to make it through the season.
  12. bucks sign Hakim Warrick. also it appears that there is no chance of sessions coming back, which is too bad. I think that's something the bucks will regret doing.
  13. So Kendall nets a pick and Cameron does not. That makes no sense to me. I left Cam off the list, he is a type B free agent.
  14. found this very interesting, we could be in line for a few sandwich picks next draft. from mlbtraderumors.com Kendall B Lopez B Looper B Hoffman A rankings (offset quoted material --1992)
  15. he is under the dodgers control until after 2011, which makes the trade look pretty good for the dodgers. I don't know much about those 2 prospects though.
  16. i think being a "buyer" is OK, depending on what we give up. Giving up on the future to add a pitcher like Washburn makes no sense unless we get an additional prospect back too. Adding an average starter at a price of someone like Iribarren, Heether, or Katin, i'd be fine with it. NO matter who they add, unless players like Hart and Hardy start contributing, and the rest of the rotation starts giving 6 or 7 inning starts, its not going to matter if they add Halladay even.
  17. i'm fine with it, bottom line we need a starter and i don't think we are at a point where its OK to give up a good prospect. If we get someone like Correia and only have to give up a top 20 prospect, i won't criticize it, but i don't think he will help too much. It better than throwing out mike burns though.
  18. Hart changed his song this this homestand, does anyone know what it is, i am not a county music buff, but am trying to get a brewers songlist compiled so i can buy the songs to make a cd while camping. DiFelice has came out to "if you only knew" by shinedown lopez switches between a song in spanish and "Juicy" by Biggie Smalls
  19. it varies but i'm pretty sure 23 is the max. The terrace reserved seats do start at row 8.
  20. yeah very confusing and frustrating.
  21. the brewers need to win 3 to give doug some motivation to get a pitcher. A poor showing against the worst team in baseball would really not give melvin much motivation to get rid of a prospect.
  22. this made me laugh today and i wanted to share it. if there was only something i could use to block the sun from my eyes, cubs fans make me laugh http://failblog.files.wordpress.com/2009/07/fail-owned-hat-fail.jpg?w=500&h=667
  23. if the brewers trade jj for morrow and washburn i'd be fine with that. If its Escobar I'm going to be angry. I know conventional wisdom is that you don't want to trade a veteran every day starter and replace him with a rookie, but Escobar is going to be able to hit 230 in the bigs and has better range. You also must take into account he has 3 years before arby and hardy is unrestricted after next season. Teams like the brewers need to make decisions like this all the time, especially considering there is alot of good players that are up for arbitration or free agency in the near future and i'd hate to see the brewers give a key young cog away, especially considering that while i'm not giving up hope yet, but i think a playoff run like last season is going to be difficult.
  24. there are stills on the ny post's website this morning, which amazes that they were allowed to do that. It must be said though that really nothing she wears on the sidelines leaves much to the imagination. That being said that does not come even close to justifying what was done to her.
