  1. Tomorrow is my favorite day in sports entertainment. It has been ruined with leaks and WWE announcing surprise entrants prior. Also the number of entries (especially on mens side) that are not on the main roster continues to decrease, which was the fun of it. Still its must see TV. I'll predict Ronda Rousey and Brock Lesnar are victorious this year. If reports are accurate, there will be a lot of woman coming back from my youth (won't spoil it here). A few surprises on the mens side but haven't seen any WWE HOFers returning.
  2. I didn’t know about that rule. I thought you just couldn’t play in your home arena. (Which you would have played more than 3 times)
  3. Hiring a defensive-minded coach does not seem ideal in this day and age. Also reports today that the Jags are interviewing Fangio which is the most Jags thing to do. Why Baalke still has a job in beyond me. EDIT: https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2022/01/27/report-adrian-wilson-in-trent-baalke-out-as-jaguars-g-m/ looks like he doesn't have a job. Not sure what to think about the Leftwich hire, I mean when Brady is your QB it makes life easy. Looks like the Byron pulled the me or Trent card and the Jags chose correctly.
  4. Hiring a defensive-minded coach does not seem ideal in this day and age. It can work, but I don't see it with working a young QB who needs a lot of work. If he hires a strong OC and he does well, he will be poached in right away anyway. Same thing for GB, the OC hire is very important for Love's development. I hope its Getsy or someone that has experience developing QB's.
  5. Bears hiring Matt Eberflus. Don't know much about him but Colt's defense was pretty solid this year. Obviously will need to hire a strong OC.
  6. Marquette cannot play at Fiserv, it states right on the NCAA information that MU puts out that Marquette will not be one of the teams. If they do continue to play well I could see a date at Indy though which is close enough if fans really wanted to drive down to see them.
  7. i think Hackett will be in Denver. As long as they don't lose Getsy and him, its OK.
  8. I'm happy Bonds and Clemens were left out.
  9. Yeah once Leonard / Penny and Sheldon/Amy got married the entire premise of the show kind of got l lost.
  10. Big Bang theory is great. i did run its course at the end, probably shortly after penny and sheldon get married. I was the first 2 seasons of young sheldon and stopped. its not bad, its just have only so much time for TV and I didn't think of it as can't miss TV.
  11. just finished the first half of the final season of Ozark. Doesn't seem to slow down. really good. now i have to wait to see how the series concludes. Julia Garner has become a star from this series and Jason Bateman is so good in his role of Marty Byrd.
  12. mathwise, yes you are correct. I just wonder if they will be 6 come March. They are as hot as they have been since Buzz was here. maybe they never slowdown, I hope so.
  13. todays bracketology update has Marquette as a 6. Seems a little high and clearly aided by their hot streak.
  14. Also i do not think a large portion of the fan base cares much about the minor league system. Not all brewer fans are reading baseball america and visiting message boards.
  15. I’d guess zero chance that would ever happen. They won’t go from hiring someone like Stearns, watching him flourish, to handing the key to a guy like this. Arnold would be making the decisions in my scenario. Just like now where the president of baseball of operations is making any moves.
  16. Not sure but maybe a move to have a gm in waiting if stearns leaves. Not three greatest track record though
  17. again they have a 2nd beat writer, Tod Rosiak. I think succession is very smooth. Brewers are the #2 beat in the state. Yes they will probably bring someone young as a backup beat writer, so he isn't writing every day.
  18. I loved bat of out hell and bat out of hell 2 growing up. Was born after that album came out and it probably wasn't cool rocking out to those as a teenager in the 90's.
  19. I'd imagine Rosiak would just be covering fulltime, maybe assistance by one of the general sports reporters. I wouldn't expect a national search to replace him.
  20. It’s 20 bucks or so to go from YouTube or Hulu to direct tv stream. Granted why have 2 services for the same amount of tv rather than one. If this goes down I’d probably keep sling and add this and be a little ahead from my plan of changing from sling to direct tv for baseball season
  21. I hate that they have a monopoly on the lockerroom merchandise. its poor quality and seems to be undersized. Its the only brand that a XL doesn't fit perfectly on me. That being said, if I can stream the brewers for 23 bucks a month and cancel after the season, I would be all for that.
  22. This forum has had posters over the years that had to get blocked because of how obnoxious they were. Im sure Tom saw that daily. Granted its probably wiser to not poke the bear and block them and move on, but not every can do that. Was a lot easier before twitter when the worse you would get is a letter to the editor every once in a while.
  23. Drew Olson famously nicknamed him the prince of darkness, and it was for great reason. I did enjoy reading his articles and am not a twitter guy, so those bashing him for how he interacted with fans I can't speak to. In 36 years he has seen almost everything and I am his replacement will be a young reported like what MJS always does.
  24. I can't find the link, but I believe Buzz and/or Crean was a top 10 coach as far as total compensation (endorsements, etc) at one point. Marquette's boosters really only have one program to support and can make life very good for the head coach if they are successful. Nova is clearly the top job in the conference but I think there are a bunch that are very close and Marquette is in that group.
  25. Also first win ever at vilanova’s on campus arena is amazing and surprising it took so long
