What is your home page?

It's a page with mostly personal links that I whipped up myself and have stored on my hard drive. I don't have a Home button in my toolbar, though, so I hardly ever think to use the History menu item to go there.

That’s the only thing Chicago’s good for: to tell people where Wisconsin is.

Everything I've ever known, I've learned from Brewerfan.net....Seriously though

That's kind of how I am, Logan. It doesn't matter a whole lot. In my account on my dad's computer, for instance, I just go with the browser defaults. The majority go to that browser's homepage, and that's handy because most of them will tell me if it's time to download an upgrade.

At home, because I have dialup, it's important to have something that doesn't take a month to load. That's a big motivation behind keeping the self-designed page, even though it's a couple years obsolete. I pretty much need it for Safari; it defaults to apple.com, which is a long load, even on broadband. I use the personal page in Firefox, which is my primary browser, although its default (a customized Firefox Google page) would be fine under dialup.

To open a new tab or window, I have prefs set to open a blank one.

It's funny you mention you have dial-up because I actually still get around town via horse and buggy.

I'm willing to bet that high speed access reaches part of the nearby Amish community. No go here, though.

This is Jack Burton in the Pork Chop Express, and I'm talkin' to whoever's listenin' out there.
