4/23/07 Brewers (Vargas) @ Cubs (Zambrano): 7:05 PM CDT

[BuckyTuba]

HOLD ON DAMIAN!

[yfinn6]

Huge strikeout, great pitching by Villanueva there.

DeRosa just looked silly on the 3-1 pitch and then was blown away on 3-2.

[Braminano]

Derosa winning the award for best reaction to a strikeout ever.

[bacon06]

I'd like to see this game go long just for the possibility of seeing people playing out of position on both sides. Except the Brewers bullpen is dead so let's just get this one in regulation.

Quote:

---

If Yost had pinch hit for Gross and Counsell in the 6th, the Brewers would have nobody left on the bench, and would probably still be losing. Also, the pitcher may have had to hit last inning.

---

Or maybe Hart or Mench would have gotten a hit and the Brewers would have taken the lead in the sixth. Can't say anything for sure.

[Braminano]

Pinella just using everyone from his bench.

[littledoc83]

Cubs may be in better shape with their pen than we are. Cubs have Cotts and Dempster left, we basically only have Turnbow

[AJAY]

I would have gone after Ward instead of walking him,

[UeckerAddict]

Alright, I'm back. Just finished my paper. All I could do was periodically check scores. Now I'm dialed in.

[sheethead]

Pinella pulling out all the stops.

[Scooter1027]

yfinn -- I don't know if you care, but I think the guy in your quote is "Matt" Belisle.

C'mon CV, get us to the 9th with the tie.
