4/13/08 Brewers (Suppan) at Mets (Perez): 12:10 PM CDT

The real story is that Suppan allowed 8 guys to get on in 2 innings, IMO.

I see your point, but the two kind of go hand in hand. Suppan by no means would have a shut out, but the Mets are doing things the Brewers don't. Putting the ball in play (i.e. also not just fly outs) and making the defense work which is advancing runners. Look at the "productive out" that Easley had to drive in a run. That's one place the Brewers need to improve.

Is there any reason why Gabe Gross should get any more starts over Gabe Kapler? Yost always talks about riding the hot bat, let's see if sticks to that.

Man, the Mets fans are terrible. Perez hadn't given up a run before this game and they boo him when the inning ends. He and Suppan should both apologize for having bad games because, you know, they definitely intended to have rough outings today.

Yeah you'd think they were Brewer fans or something!

They're a bitter fanbase now, probably because of what has happened over the last couple years: Game 7 of the NLCS in '06 and self-destructing last season. I can't blame them too much for their frustration.

With a pretty rested bullpen and a day off tomorrow I don't see why Suppan is still pitching. I'm not against bringing him out to start the inning but he needs to be out before facing wright.
