the new york times is reporting that following a hamstring injury to backup catcher jose molina the yankees are without a healthy catcher and it seems likely that they'll call up chad moeller for monday's game in tampa.

On April 28, 2004 Chad Moeller hit for the cycle against the Cincinnati Reds.

That was the day Hitting for the Cycle officially jumped the shark.

Moeller looked terrible in his first AB, taking a called 3rd strike, but in his 2nd AB, he did a great job punching a pitchout past the 2nd baseman on a hit and run. He later came around to score.

He's wearing #19 and batting 8th, if anyone cares.

So he's channeling Robin Yount. What a world we live in.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.
