Seems kind of odd letting Perez bat when he's at 105 pitches and you have a 4 run lead.

Edit : Then again it certainly worked out!

While I understand having a mop-up guy like Dessens around, it doesn't help when all he does is prolong the agony of a lackluster performance like today.

well i have no problem with going 1-2 aganist the mets .

now we need to at least split with the Phildelphia .

a little nervous with Bush pitching in that band box there.

wasn't Dessens ERA just a few days ago in the 3.00's? Shame. Wouldn't be surprised to see him gone by Friday.

eh, about today's game. Like I said yesterday, I wanted at least one win in the series and I got it. Let's get the Phil's, who I don't believe is as tough as the Mets (get to that Phillie bullpen, Crew!)

See ya all tomorrow.

While Dessens' ERA was in the 3's a couple outings ago, that doesn't take into consideration the massive amount of inherited runners he let score once he came into the game. He's like the Bizarro Shouse. I wouldn't mind seeing Homer Me Elmer DFA'd in favor of another middle relief arm, to say the least.

Losing a series definitely bites (almost forgot what it felt like), but I can cope with losing a series against the Mets better than I can against the Cubs. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif

While it's true that the Brewers have to beat teams like the Mets to prove that they're "for real", I think the Brewers showed they could stick around in this series...after all, it wasn't really the Beltrans or the Wrights that beat the Brewers, but guys like Damion Easley and Oliver Perez (who, to be fair, has some wicked stuff when he's on).

Hopefully the bats wake up in Philly...that bandbox may be just what some of the struggling bats need to get back into the swing of things.

"Homer Me Elmer". LOL!

On the plus side, I continue to be impressed with Villanueva. He's gonna be a great (or at least very good and reliable) starter someday

Well pretty crappy game today. But at least we got 1 in in NY. Now if we can get 2 or more in Philly that would be great. Only good thing about today was Hall's HR. Hopefully he gets on a bit of a hot streak now,
