I'd much rather see Hart in there tonight, especially against the Nats. What's the thinking behind Jenkins being in there?

I really don't get why Hart isn't playing tonight. It's not difficult to read splits; Jenkins can't hit lefties and Mench can't hit righties.

I'm sure its just because we have faced so many lefties lately that they want to get Jenkins in another game.

 

I don't mind a game like that here and there, as long as Mench sits against most righties and Jenkins against most lefties I'm happy.

Agreed. This isn't really the definition of a "tough" lefty, either. Plus, he needs some AB's against LHP, because the situation arises where he will face one in the early part of a game where Ned's not going to pull him for a PH.

To be fair, Schneider is a pretty good defensive catcher. He hits like Ben Sheets, though (when he's not hitting walkoff HR's off Turnbow).
