MAN did Braunie sock that one! The Crew has had some rough luck tonight... Weeks hit a laser to 3B for an out, Hall's liner to CF, and now Braun missing a HR by about a foot.

I confess I did not know the Marlins had signed Luis Gonzalez.
How could you miss the monster signing of a washed up, 57 yr old, rag armed left fielder that is no longer juiced up on roids?

After he just made that catch on Hart's flyball, I actually said aloud, "Luis Gonzalez? That Luis Gonzalez?" (I'm watching the game by myself, because I'm that popular)

When I read the quoted post earlier, my mind just inserted the first name "Alex" (the infielder). Wow -- guess I need to have more than the one beer I've got in me!

Every game I have been saying the hitting will come around and I see signs but it is just not there yet. Sooner or later we might score about 6-8 a game for a few games in a row. I hope so at least.

Backing up to last inning (I'm following on Gameday/watching a movie), by the comment about the 3B ump, can I assume Braun was safe?

He was safe on a feet-first slide into 3B, but then his momentum & Jorge Cantu kind of pushing him (their legs were tangled, hard to explain) carried his foot off the bag, & Cantu kept the tag on him for the out.

I blame his vegetarian lifestyle on that error.

I think he was.

Everyone knows vegetarians suck at baseball, and at watching baseball, and at typing in IGTs about baseball... http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

Ryan overslid, the contact by the 3 basemens leg was minimal at best. Brawny needs to have better control...still a nice jump though.

Yo hasn't located all that well so far tonight, he's missing with the curve up mostly, but he's also spiked a couple, and his fastball is running up and away on him at times.

edit. Lame thunderstorm over green bay, I just like my signal. I take it Yo got out of the inning.
