Tomorrow is big for two reasons.

1) I'd really like a win on my birthday.

2) They need to build on wins like this. Too many times this year it's been one step forward, two steps back.

Billy, you're still my boy.

Happy B-Day! Plus it would be a series win.

I'm going to the game tomorrow = Brewer loss

Sorry to ruin your birthday.

Branyan with a double and walk tonight. It's working pretty decent so far.

Not to mention his calm, smooth defense. Sort of the anti-Hall, who appears (could be a case of the 'seems like-s') to try to uncork the rocket throw when possible, as opposed to delivering a quiet throw. Branyan's throws were right on the money, especially the start to the DP that Weeks finished.

That was one of Bush's best pitching performances, especially after giving up 2 early HRs.

So that's Santana, Penny, Zambrano, Hamels, Hudson and Wainwright we've taken care of this year. We just need to stop sucking against scrubs and we might get somewhere!

You could even say Beckett, too, if Villanueva hadn't pitched like garbage.

Hey, first time first poster, maybe that means the brewers will win

We probably would have lost if it wasn't for you.

Well played, sir, well played. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif

Just got home from the park. Great win, I thought the crowd was seriously going to turn on Bush when he gave up those 2 solo jacks. But for a fairly vanilla game it sure turned out well.

Free Bill Hall!

Great performance by Bushy today, I thought for sure Tavarez was going to punch who ever hit that 3 - 1 in the mouth.

Braves got Coxed due to not taking hudson out early enough imo. Maybe we know where Yost got his pitching management from.

JJ was lucky with that hard hit ball, looked to me like it was going to be a 4 - 3.

Great steal by Hall and a nice Sac by Cammy.

Was good to leave the stadium not sad but happy.

Interesting -- BA & Rock were in agreement that, had Hudson not gotten in the way, that the ball would've rolled out to CF.

that was definitely a single by hardy either way you slice it. Hudson getting in the way saved him a run. At best, someone lays out for that thing and knocks it down but it's still a single.

it was definitely hit hard but could have been an out with a bad bounce. Fortunately it popped high in the air after hitting the mound

I think this was the third Dave Bush start we've attended this year. Each time the splits have looked just bad on paper, but the Brewers have found a way to do all right.

Dave and I will be negotiating my cut of his salary. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

So, quality start for Dave (even though it often didn't feel like it), a dozen hits for Milwaukee (including a bunch that seemed well hit, only right at someone), effective bullpen (including no fightin' by Tavarez), and a win in the end? Not the prettiest ever, but I'll take it. 5-3 on the hawing ticket now. And BuckyTuba got to see a win!

Line of the night, overheard from a kid behind us who was apparently eager to see the Brewers come up to bat: "I don't like it when they pitch!"

(edited to remove impression that the Brewers actually had more than 12 hits)

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

Yeah, Weeks continues to hit into some bad luck after he smoked that ball right to Matt Diaz to end the 7th inning. On a brighter note, I'm 2-0 at games this year and I'll be going to two more this home stand http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

best plays of the game, non-brewers, brave's catcher getting hit in the nuts, by prince's foul ball, and their left fielder running into some cage i was not even aware of until this game.

I'll be honest, when i saw bush was pitching today, i had this as a loss. Glad to see i was wrong. Hopefully this game is the turning point for him, as i really want to see him do well.

No the motivation was ........ wanting to show Ned what he is capable of and of course all of you "loyal" fans that had so much love for him when all was good but its cool Bill is an upstanding guy and always lets the bull slide right off his back

I still think Hall is a below average player and would LOVE to trade him ASAP!
