I was watching a pitchers' duel here in San Antonio last night, so I missed the implosion last night, which probably was a good thing. I'm hoping tonight goes a lot better, especially since I'll be able to watch the game!

A middling rightie we've never seen before...uh oh

I'm callin it. He gives up 1 hit thru 6 innings. We score 3 in the 7th off of a reliever and win by 2.

Doing a shot every time I hear Bob or Jim say "hanging breaking ball" or "hainging curve" today. Bush has been historically poor on the road if I remember correctly.

I'm calling it. You are wrong.

Now that's a bold prediction.

Im pretty sure Rulz was just calling spmeone out for making a bold predicition that will never happen. There has been too much of that going on lately while no one is ever held accountable for it.

I got a bad feeling about this road trip after last night. That's the type of loss that can really shake a team's confidence..when nobody is on the same page as the guy calling the shots. Hope I'm wrong, but this has the makings of another bad road trip under Yost.

Held accountable for a throwaway comment on a message board? Let's remember what we are doing here and keep it in perspective. We aren't writing articles for Pulitzer nomination here. We are fans discussing baseball amongst fans. How would someone who made a comment such as the one in question be held accountable anyway? Take away their posting privilege? Seriously...

All I'm saying is that it is so easy to post some off the wall predicition and when it doesn't even come close to happening nothing is ever said but on the rare occasion that it does, the poster pins their predicition up as if we owe them a prize. The reason I am frustrated about this practice is because usually the crazy predicition is something negative towards the Brewers. It gets so old to hear how mediocre pitchers own us and how we make so many outs on the bases and how we can't score runners from 3rd with less than 1 out. We just notice these with the Brewers more because we watch the majority of games that the Brewers are involved in.

I usually find that if something I can't change is really getting on my nerves and I have the option to avoid it, that's what I do. You can't change what the TV channel is airing, but you can change the channel.

I really don't understand what the big deal is. He was playing around. It's no different than taking a half-court shot at basketball practice; if you miss it, no one cares because you're not supposed to make it...but if you make it, everyone thinks it's awesome.

Anyway...

"Sheets has a 2.56 ERA in his 5 no-decisions this season."

Now that's a little sickening.

If I had Braun's pee in my fridge I'd tell everybody.

Tom Haudricourt is reporting that Craig Counsell will replace Rickie Weeks tonight. When playing in a spacious park like Coors Field, I personally prefer Weeks' speed and ability to drive the ball. This place seems like a good park for triples.

Hey, I'm not trying to stop anyone from making their predictions. But if people want to share them, I should also feel free to comment on them if I want.

I just think the IGT predictions run on the silly side, since they are usually very extreme (Manyan will hit 2 bombs!) and often based on some Brewer myth (Brewers can't hit a starting pitcher that they've never seen before). But I say, keep them coming! You made a prediction. I made a prediction. Let's see who's right. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

Ugh, that's annoying. Does that mean Counsell is leading off?

Um, he is playing second base, isn't he? You could never be a manager. You don't have the "stuff".

TH has it up on JSonline.

2B Craig Counsell

CF Mike Cameron

LF Ryan Braun

1B Prince Fielder

RF Corey Hart

3B Russell Branyan

SS J.J. Hardy

C Jason Kendall

RHP Dave Bush

Weee! At least this guy walks a lot of batters, hopefully Counsell will walk like three times.

Wouldn't Rickie be the ideal guy to lead off if this guy walks a ton of guys?

I just don't get Ned. These guys are 25 years old and younger. They were just off Monday. Who needs a day off?

Man I sure hope we bounce back after last nights pooh fest.

This game tonight could be really damaging to my emotional well-being. Had to go in to work way too early this AM, and I was still steaming about last night on the drive.

Bush has been just great lately, so my pessimistic side is expecting this will be a night where he gets lit up flipping a few of those frisbees up there. It may be one of those Coors Field type games tonight which the Brewers never seem to do so well in. And now I see CC in teh leadoff spot after Weeks has been doing much better lately (and on the heels of a day off on Thurs)

Added bonus with the Cubs going down this afternoon means all the stars are aligning for a potentially infuriating evening.

I hope I am so wrong.
