not to ruin this love fest but its important to remember that just as this was just 2 innings for vargas this was 3 at bats for Braun. I want him to make the club, but its just one day, and he did have an error in the previous half inning.

That he had an error doesn't mean all that much either considering it's one error in one game.

 

Nevertheless, he's a triple away from the cycle.

 

Oh yeah, that bomb he hit was off of Oakland's number 7 prospect who was 13-1 at AAA last year.

Yeah and people forgave Weeks' error-fest and said "stick with him because of his bat."

 

Braun's bat is even better and I contend that if Weeks is in the lineup, Braun should be too.

 

And I ask: WHAT CAN BRAUN DO FOR YOU???

I know, and I want Braun to make the team.Graff and Counsell would be great utility infielders. I was just pointing out that just as Vargas is not doomed not to make the team cause of his outing, Braun isn't going to win ROY cause of 1 spring game.

3 straight walks from Hendrickson.... not good at all. The selfish side of me wants to put Sheets in there and shut them out, with Braun having the winning hit.... a triple.

It's incredible to me how the Brewers have gone from Moeller starting 25-30% of the games, to Estrada-Miller-Rivera-Closser (though it's been mentioned that the Crew will likely not have both Rivera and Closser in the system once the year starts).
