At this point I leave Parra out there for 6 innings, regardless of result. Best chance to slavage a game is hoping for something on Sunday with the bullpen rested. Time to take one for the team, Manny.

How in the world of physics could the ball possibly end up where it did if it didn't hit Utley. Unbelievablecall. But not unexpected, given teh run the Crew is on.

Well, at least I don't have to waste my Saturday watching this crap. For those stuck in the rain looking for something else to watch, I recommend The Searchers with John Wayne on AMC starting at 4:15.

Everyone will get on me for being so "negative", but it's time to start thinking about next year. They are done this year. Would everyone agree that they are now going to complete one of the greatest collapses in baseball history?? It's like someone flipped a switch on this team once they hit September. There is no way they are really this bad, after the way they played in August.

 

Here I thought I really REALLY thought I'd get to watch postseason baseball again.

Parra channelling the spirit of Ben Hendrickson with this pitching performance today.

 

This is still 10 times better than Hendrickson. At least Parra recorded four outs.

Looks like the brewers have just decided to choke a little bit later this year. Corey Hart is right...this team plays really loose on the road.
