The Cubs are going to win by 1 and my plan to bet the Cubs -1 1/2 forcing the Brewers to win (as I said last night I always lose bets) will be thwarted, I'll lose my bet and the Brewers will still lose.

Yeah, my current pessimism mode has me thinking 8th inning blowup, followed by some maddeningly poor and futile 9th inning ABs.

About the injury...I know Sheets is good. He is a great pitcher and he is unreliable. My first thought was "Jesus, again?" It's weird and sickening. Forearm tightness? Does he ever have an injury that doesn't annoy you? Sigh.

 

Either way this is a must win. It is.

Yep, and since they went "Yankees" on us prior to 2007 they can afford to bench their $50 million RF without blinking. I feared this outcome in the offseason 2 years ago and it's been 2 years of my worst fears being realized. Who knows, if the Cubs continued to go about their business the way they did prior to 2007, the Brewers might be going for back to back division titles right now. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif
