The home plate calls have been horrible. If you're going to call a crap game, at least be consistent between the sides. IMHO, the Brewers have been on the short end of the calls consistently in this series.

The home plate umpire has been slanting his calls toward the Phillies in every game of the series. K zone is proving the injustices.....yet I'm sure it will be ignored by pundits and dismissed by fans who are socialized into thinking it's unmanly whining to point it out.

There was another ball which looked low and away clearly to Fielder. It altered the entire at bat because instead of forcing Moyer to come in the zone, 3-1, he can throw off the plate 2-2 and Fielder has to swing at anything close.

Edit: Screw Hart

Even when he gets a hit, Corey Hart can't do anything right at this point.

It has gone from sad to almost comical.

1. I'm not sure if I would go so far as saying the ump work has been biased in favor of the Phillies, but I will say that there have been some atrocious calls, first against C.C., and now in favor of Moyer.

2. Corey Hart is not good.

I'm surprised to see that everyone seems to be taking the right approach to Moyer thus far. Except Braun, who appears to have skipped that meeting.

That was some great commentary there by either Smoltz or the other guy. "He's gotta make a pitch."
Almost makes you appreciate Rock.

Not to derail the IGT, but BA has more than held his own against the PBP guys in the other series, too.

Braun was fine in his first AB, just got out in front slightly on the pop-up (he wasn't lunging crazily, though). Second AB, he could've had a little more patience, but he swung at decent pitches.

Moyer has also been throwing the ball over the plate more in the last couple innings.
