If Gross is not in the lineup tomorrow, I'll absolutely go nuts with frustration at Ned Yost's stubborness. He deserves it. This guy is a hitter. Find him some AB's...anywhere.

Good grief. Now are they going to have to make this a tough loss to break our hearts?? Are they really going to make me have to question why Ned only put De La Rosa back out there for 1 inning after having him bat, then pulled him after 2 1/3rd when he was pitching well and is built for long relief?? Why??

And how many PINCH-HIT homeruns is that for Gross this season in the first 14 games? 3???

I would agree with that lineup except that Pettite is starting tomorrow I believe and most of Gross's success has come against right-handed pitching. I think that would be a nice line-up, just not tomorrow, however for a game or two at home, it would be nice to see.

2B Weeks

SS Hardy

RF Jenkins

LF Lee

CF Gross

1B Fielder

3B Hall/Koskie

C Miller

P Pitchers Spot

I think Yost should try that lineup tommorow.

I'm with you, in theory. I think Weeks is killing us too with his bat this season. Not a HR or any sign of consistency. Put his butt on the bench for a couple of games and get Hall some AB's. Weeks has had his opportunity to string something together by playing man consecutive games, so it's Billy's turn now. Play Gross though for Clark..I agree.

This is Roy Oswalt. And to be blunt, against a pitcher like him, you only get one chance to count - and you certainly can't let the Astros get back in the game with him on the mound.

Oh really Clancy? Cuz it looks to me like we just roughed up Oswalt (like I thought we would) to the tune of 6 ER's in 6+ innings. To say this game was over and look ahead to tomorrow when it was 2-2 in the 2nd was borderline ridiculous.

Obviously, I didn't anticipate Davis imploding to give up 9 ER's, but I felt very confident we would touch up Oswalt for at least 4 or 5.

Now watch as the Brewers' staff promptly gives all four runs right back.

Haha. it's not like we got trounced 15-1 like Baltimore did.

It's not over yet....

What we can always cling to, just like my UW-Madison classmates and I did occasionally during the valley of the Don Morton era, is

We Scored First.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

Not trying to make a point, but actually Oswalt only gave up four earned runs. The first two runs in the first inning were unearned.

Ahh, nice soak in the hot tub I had. Speak like Yoda, will I. Loaded Corona I had, double down I shall. Four runs I see scored, yes, 7 more and the force shall be with me.

Gabe Gross: building a cultish legend, one pinch hit at a time.

You should have said one pinch homer at a time http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

Love to see all these meaningless hits/runs to pad our stats. This is how our hitting stats manage to look respectable throughout the year while our team still stinks. It wouldn't shock me if we put up 10 runs tonight since it doesn't matter.

There's Lee with another useless HR when the game is already over!!
