So, does Jenkins have any options left? lol ... Seriously, is it unfathomable to think that Gross might get some consideration as a starting right fielder? Can he beat out Geoff for that spot?

So that's what a 1-2-3 inning from your closer is like. I see the appeal........

Maybe it's the beer talking, or maybe it's just the frustration, but I think I would like to see a lot more of Gabe Gross and a lot less of Brady Clark and/or Geoff Jenkins.

Well, you can't win em all. We played them tough. They are definitely one of the best teams in the NL. If Hall doesn't throw a ball into the OF things might be different.

A good sign is we out hit them. If we can continue to outhit our opponents, the RBI hits will eventually start falling.

Well you can't win them all. Still there were some positives that could be taken from this game.

1. We out hit the "scorching" hot Mets, 9 hits to 6

2. Cappy had another good outing giving up only 3 ER, and tossed in 6 K's.

3. Bullpen looked great again pitching two scoreless innings. (Lehr, JDLR)

Hopefully we can get the win tomorrow, still with Okha on the mound I never know what to expect.

Very disappointing loss today, considering the missed opportunities again.

I've said it before, I'll say it again, we will not continue to win the close games if we continue to make the same mistakes and fail to come through in clutch situations. Eventually, it's going to catch up to us, and tonight, it did.

RISP line for tonight:

1-11

with 2 outs:

0-5

14 K's is just a very poor showing for the offensive efficiency again. Sure, they can get on base, but they don't award you wins for how many guys you get to reach 2nd.

I hope so. It seems logical though. Overall a close game that could have went either way. The brewers were able to fight until the end, which was good. De La Rosa stil perfect in ERA.

Why do we continue to suck with RISP? This isn't some 10 game phenomena with us. It seems more and more like it's a mental problem.

And IMO this game was lost in the 8th inning tonight. We had Weeks on 2nd, nobody out, Prince in his AB, with Koskie and Clark to follow. That was our chance to tie, and we could have worried about trying to pull ahead later. But they couldn't get him in .

Jenks needs to move to the 7 or 8 hole. He is terrible so far this year. One RBI in 10 games?

I know he hasn't had many opportunities with RISP, but a double scores alot of guys from first, right?

Makes me sick.

I really hate this phrase. Thanks to a loss tonight, we now have to win tomorrow just to break even. We have to win two in a row to be where we would have been at with a win tonight.

Frankly, "can't win em all" is loser-talk, in my opinion.

Just like the bucks early on they won every close game they had like the best record in the nba in games decided by 5 points or less.

Yet they were winning those close games on miracle comeback and half court buzzer beaters.

Just like the crew this wont continue.

Yet again they are SHUTDOWN by a the starter.

I agree...I do not see what Butch Wynegar brings to the table. At the beginning of his tenure, fine, I'll cut him some slack...he had zero to work with. But now, the brewers seem to be loaded with potential. Granted, these guys are young...but MAN. They can *NOT* hit with RISP. They are up there hacking at garbage, and they did the same thing all of last year. I am sick that Wynegar brings home a paycheck probably 10 times bigger than mine every week.
