I had totally forgotten about Sheffield coming back to Milwaukee. That'll be fun...I wonder if ESPN will pick up on why it'll be raining boos.

 

On another note, I wasn't that upset with Gamel not playing every day, but it's starting to get a little worrisome that he's not playing every day at third. Counsell should be the one getting sporadic starts here and there, not Gamel.

For any of our starting pitchers not named Gallardo, I guess 6 IP, 4 walks, and 3 runs is pretty well.

So we are basically wasting Gamel's service time for him to be a part time player? This makes no sense to me whatsoever. Either play him every day or send him back to AAA to play every day. This is no way to handle a top young player.

I hope that Macha isn't starting to hold out Gamel to tell Doug to send him down like when he threw in Julio to get shelled so Doug would get rid of him. Though of course we can never be sure that's what he did.

Nieve has faced the Brewers before as a member of the Astros, throwing a total of 9 innings in 2006, allowing 8 hits (3 of them home runs) and 4 runs, with 9 strikeouts and 4 walks. I thought he pitched well. Two walks were basically intentional to get to the pitcher and one was issued to Mauer. I thought he had pretty good control all game.

I'm torn as to which broadcast to watch ESPN or FS Wisconsin. I can hear BA and Rock anytime. But I'm not a big fan of Schulman or Orel. Tough call, what are others doing?
