2009-09-12 Brewers (Bush) at Diamondbacks (Mulvey) : 7:10 PM CT [Brewers win, 9-2]

WMLW telecast tonight...while this usually means a FS Wisconsin showing outside of Milwaukee, my TV listings show college football on FSW.

Might be a Bob and Cory night in Wisconsin...at least WIBA radio in Madison has finally ended its Badger football-a-thon.

The Brewers' starting nine, per JSOnline:

2B Felipe Lopez

RF Frank Catalanotto

LF Ryan Braun

1B Prince Fielder

3B Casey McGehee

CF Mike Cameron

SS J.J. Hardy

C Jason Kendall

RHP Dave Bush

Bob made Ryan's deep fly sound gone. Bob, we don't all have TV tonight.

Nice to have the RBI, though.

The game is on FSN up here in the Fox Valley, hawing, not sure why it wouldn't also be on in Madison.

Arizona with "Los D'backs" on their jerseys, how come we didn't bring the Cerveceros unis back out?

Dang, you're right. The online TV listings said west coast college football and I figured that's what would take precedence. Then I'll watch!

Just dropping in to say that I love Good Dave Bush. Nights like this are exactly why I continue to have high hopes for him.

I'll second the notion that McGehee is definitely helping the Brewers in more ways than one if the FO has intentions of trading him this offseason.

It seems I see just enough of Good Dave Bush to keep me coming back.

Is "Los D-Backs" really a Spanish term?

Edit: 11 Ks through 7 innings. Dave Bush Strikeout Showcase II! (DBSS I was this game)

That scar tissue breaking up in Bush's arm may have been the best thing to happen to him. Ever since the doctors said he can't really do anything to hurt it and he'd just have to work through it, Bush has pitched very well.

I find it amusing even Bill & Brian sounded slightly confused as to why Coffey is pitching the 9th in an 8 run game. He hasn't pitched since Tuesday, but yeah.

Coffey's appearance tonight should guarantee a run of close games over the next few days.

I wonder if D-backs (I mean, Los D-backs) fans feel tonight like we did during that horrific Nationals series in July.

tonight was Hispanic Heritage Night at the ballpark, thus the Los DBacks jerseys. I was sporting my Cerveceros jersey, though (was going to wear it last night until I found out it was Heritage night tonight).

Bigger crowd, more alive crowd. Gave and received a lot of high fives with fellow Brewer fans. A bit louder, too, tonight.

Hawing, even I thought that first inning blast by Braun was going to leave the yard and I was in the park. There were a bunch of drives that were way gone off the bat but just died once they hit the outfield.

Steve Braun, Ryan's brother, was limping on his crutches on his way to the service/player family elevator following the game and my wife cut right in front of him doing the ol' concourse walk. I recognized him immediately (looks just like Ryan) and apologized and then made my way to catch up to the Mrs.

Tonight was a much better game. Go for the "s" word tomorrow. We've already clinched a winning record in game's that my wife and I saw the Brewers in person for the year (6-2 record, hurray!)

Lucky duck, I went 2-3 this season. I think you set the West Coast record.

Do you wear glasses? They showed a guy on the WMLW feed a few times with a Cerveceros shirt.

And yeah, a few times they showed some Brewers fans who looked more SoCal than Wisconsin, to be frank, which made me think there was a lot of Braun/Kendall/Hardy family there tonight. [Last year at AT&T when CC pitched I was surrounded by people who were clearly Bay Area locals in brand new Brewer gear which made me think it was Sabathia friends and family...pretty cool, they were really enthusiastic]

I do wear glasses, but mine was the white Cerveceros jersey, not a t-shirt. Don't know if that makes a difference.

yeah, me, too. I was disappointed to see Coffey in a 9-1 game last night. That was the perfect time for Axford.

Of course, Macha is probably thinking, "well, we're not out of this yet. We're going to win 2 in a row, St. Louis has now lost 2 in a row. We still have a shot, so no rookie is playing on my watch while we still have a chance."
