2011 General Draft Discussion

[Eck17]

4 picks in, 4 pitchers selected. Shows you just how important pitching is, in getting a winning baseball club.

[And That]

Lindor could be nabbed by the Royals here.

[Raw Biz]

If Starling signs, the Royals are going to add to what should already be a very good team.

[And That]

Lindor/Baez/Rendon/Gray all still on board with six picks until Brewers' first choice.

[Never Outhustled]

i wonder how far Rendon will fall...

Great question. I'll say to the Cubs.

[Raw Biz]

Rendon to the Nationals. What are they going to do with Zimmerman? Or will they move Rendon to 2nd?

[heresrobin]

Now I think it gets sort of interesting who the next college player off the board is.

[ListachRides]

Lindor getting past Diamondbacks helps. Astros are the only team left before 12 strongly connected to him.

[YoungGeezy]

A. Bradley gone to Snacks according to Callis

[trwi7]

Wow. D'Backs take Archie Bradley with their unprotected pick. Ballsy move.

[YoungGeezy]

Like the balls of DBacks to not go safe, hope Brewers do same, BPA all the way

[And That]

Remember that there's the Brewers' Round 1-5 draft pick discussion thread once it's time.

[southpaw121505]

I like it too, I'm not wasting 10 10 picks in a stacked draft. Do what you have to do to sign that kinda talent.

[PrinceEatMeat]

Sounds like the Indians are going Lindor according to lots of insiders.

[Raw Biz]

That's going to be a lot of threads to keep an eye on.

[ListachRides]

Damnit. I was wrong about that.

[greeg35]

Good pick by Cleveland. Hate it; but good pick.

[YoungGeezy]

Bye bye Lindor http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif

[SenatorShriv]

Lindor off the boards is the first pick that I think really influences the Brewers at all.

[Oldcity]

Ugh now watch the Cubs take Baez.

[JJHardy7]

Probably a dumb question...but why is the DBacks pick unprotected? Is it from a type A free agent loss?

[ListachRides]

I had really convinced myself he'd fall. Hope the Cubs pass on Baez.

[crewcrazy]

The #7 pick was compensation for the D'Backs not signing Barret Loux after drafting him last year. A bit of controversy because some think they took Loux knowing his shoulder was shot.

[And That]

Compensation for not signing Barret Loux last year in the same spot.

[YoungGeezy]

Yeah I don't see Baez lasting now.....
